We loved everything! This is an absolutely wonderful hotel in a very good location,.just right next to the train station. Below the hotel is a department store, where you can spend time shopping, eating. The staff is very nice and polite. Breakfast buffet was, good too!! Our room was very spacious, bright and we had a nice view to the nearby mountains. Very comfortable bed!

Non smoking hotel. A shower with a rain shower head instead of a tiny bathtub which I prefer. Lots of good quality pillows and the bed was firm but comfortable.

The furnishings were very nice, and the free-to-borrow clothes were also excellent. Its location next to Shinotori Shopping Arcade means there’re lots of food and evening shopping options. The laundromachines were also convenient to use.

The room was very good. The laundry room was very good. If the customer did not come to take the clothes out when they were finished, the staff would unlock the machine and take the clothes to the reception, allowing the next customer to use the washing machine.

Everything exceeds my expectations! The room was much more spacious than I expected. Bed was so soft & comfortable, I instantly fell asleep. Wi-Fi was great & able to play online games with no connection problem. The Sky Spa has really good view & very relaxing, soothing your tired body. Breakfast has many options from Western cuisine to Japanese cuisine.

bigger than APA and better too! I like it has coin washing machine, and microwave every floor, and I used the public bath it was great. Another highlight on the olive oil cleansing pack is so good! Comfortable stay, good value to money

    Kumamoto city - not much to see.

    Kumamoto city - not much to see. Aso area - nicer - with views, countryside and waterfalls. Accessible only by car so suggest self drive. Treat places like US where you need to drive everywhere to get stuffs. I don't put photos because need to convert to jpg.

    Other than the castle area, there isn't much to see in Kumamoto itself. But if you enjoy nature, the city is a pretty good jumping off point for visiting areas such as the Aso caldera and the Takachiho Gorge area.

    people unfriendly, better in other cities (and I have traveled to japan over 25 years plus lived in Osaka). Finding the bus station and getting bus info was a pain... the bus office is in the mall upstairs and the mall entrance has NO indication that it continues the bus office...we walked around for ages to locate it .

    1. Everything is great about this hotel, except for the breakfast which do not have many varieties. A few food items were consumed and they were not refilled. 2. Other than breakfast, this is a great hotel to stay, near train station, shopping, etc. 3. Perfect place for those honeymooners.

    Kumamoto is the home of the wonderful and renowned castle...

    Kumamoto is the home of the wonderful and renowned castle and the gateway to the incredible surrounding rural areas with the caldera, Aso town and the volcano. Beautiful area that I wish to return to.

    This window doesn’t accept Japanese input methods of iPhone. So I write in English. When you open window in room, all view of Kumamoto castle comes directly to your eyes, there’s no obstacles between castle and hotel. The view is beautiful in morning and in the evening, too. In addition, the hotel is located at east side of the castle. You can see east side face of Kumamoto castle.
