Nagahama is great place for renting a bike and cycling...
Nagahama is great place for renting a bike and cycling around. We got e-bikes from rent place near station. Museums are good - take the Nagahama museum pass for 2 days. Shops, boutiques and restaurants are open around 11-16. No much hope to find any place where to dinner in the evening. Luckily there is a grocery shop in Station, and they have good sushi, onigiri and gyoza selection. For breakfast there is 1 cafe in the station, and very lovely Sheep cafe (opens at 11, fluffy pancakes and cafe to eat in). Anegawa onsen was very good as we were in Nagahama when it was very cold outside.Guest review byPiretEstonia - 10.0

Beautiful, quiet city with an old Japan feel, no tourists, beautiful lake views and extremely beautiful and powerful shrines, as well as a lively but not overcrowded city center during Matsuri season. The perfect destination if you enjoy a quieter Japan, away from the crowds and noise of bigger city.
