Such a beautiful city. Surrounding burbs Awesome!

Such a beautiful city. Surrounding burbs Awesome! Put like this. Prada, Gucci, Lois Vitton, Armani, the list long. Why go to hectic Tokyo when Nagoya offers all the rich city life without the intensity of Tokyo. I was highly impressed. I have travelled a great deal. I liked this city better than New York, Chicago, Atlanta, LA. So beautiful, easy to navigate, wonderful to walk around. Surrounding burbs so beautiful! One last thought, all the US cities listed are dirty, trash laden, crime filled destinations. New York smells like a sewer, scaffolding that NEVER ENDS, piles of trash at night, a nighmare. I don't see this in Japan.

Nagoya is a really nice city, very easy to get around and much less crowded than the other big cities. There are a number of things to do such as, visit the huge planetarium, the Tokugawa gardens, the Noritake museum to see the beautiful ceramics. There are also Ghibli Park and Legoland for families and the castle is lovely. From Nagoya there is easy access to many other places such as Takeyama and Shirakawago.

Nagoya is a treasure for eating and shopping.

Nagoya is a treasure for eating and shopping. LOTS of great restaurants. There's the science museum, the Toyota museum, and Nagoya Castle. No "authentic" neighborhoods to explore, though there is an ethnic shopping street near Kamimaezu Station. There are lots of traditional Japanese coffee shops "kissaten" to relax in if that's your thing. If you venture away from downtown there are places like Shirotori Gardens or Arimatsu on the historical Tokaido Road which was a center of indigo dyeing. No restaurants though in the 800 m length of the neighborhood.

Unsure of what to expect but the city is full of life. Amazing shopping in Osu Shotengai District, the castle, the food options (as in most if Japan), Kako Coffee House ogura toast (long queue but yummy) and most delicious sake I tried was in Nagoya. Only stayed for one full day really but very enjoyable. (Also hosts some of the sumo matches! Didn't even have time to visit the Science Museum...

Nagoya is often overlooked but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nagoya is often overlooked but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Stayed here for 2 nights but wish we stayed more. We did one day Legoland and one day Nagoya Science museum. If we had stayed longer, we could've visited the Nagoya Aquarium, the MagLev museum and the Toyota museum. We took the Hinotori train from Osaka which had a more luxurious interior than the Shinkansen. I'll come back to explore Nagoya and surrounding more.

the place was true to the ads,... and one of the very very few places for a family of 5 to stay within walking distance of nagoya station THAT HAS A PRIVATE BATH! other than that all else was at par, but the building itself was luxurious though, smelled 4 star but i think like all big hotel chains. it does lack that personal touch. they did have clean rooms though, lots of freebies at the lobby, but a nice little room for us to stay. couldnt complain as we only spent 12hours overall in this hotel.

We'd specifically chosen to stay at the Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower for its train station views and oh my gosh it didn't disappoint!! We were mesmerized looking out the windows! The room itself was very comfortable and quite possibly the largest hotel room we've had outside of a ryokan, we all agreed that we would jump at the chance of returning!

The hotel was a short pleasant walk from the train station. Our room was very comfortable. The staff are amazing and happy to help. A staff member assisted us track a lost phone at Haneda airport and arrange for us to collect it when we went back to Tokyo. The hotel was very clean and well organised. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Nagoya Station, making it easy to take the subway around the city or catch the JR to nearby towns. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was a good size for a solo traveler. Overall, it’s practical and offers good value for money.

Although the room is small, it was clean and comfortable. The bed is of a good size, unlike some other hotels in Japan which can be smaller than a queen bed. Locate is great, about 5mins walk to Fushimi Station and only one stop away from Nagoya Station.
