The location of the hotel was ideal for our group of 4 adults. Close to subway for a short ride to places like Osaka Castle. And literally across the street from the 7/11 and other convenience stores and small restaurants where you can get something quick to eat. Incredibly well maintained, beautiful, well designed rooms, super clean with excellent amenities (free toiletries and slippers). The staff are lovely and helpful and most of time at least one on the team available speaks English. If not, we got by with our google translate app. Skip the coffee you make yourself in your room and head to the drink counter in the lobby open from 6:00 - 11:00 AM. It’s free and way better.

The best, biggest and coolest room I stayed in Osaka. Right next to Nipponbashi and close to Namba. If you like Anime culture, you're in for a treat. The common room and Gym were both specially comfortable and usually empty. This was an EXCELENT option for nomad working.

FAQs about hotels in Osaka

A Stronghold of Japanese Culture

At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.

However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.

The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.

The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.

The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.

Osaka is a great city with many wonderful attractions and very ideal as jump off to other cities like Kyoto and Nara. There were also many beautiful and fun places to go to like Dotonbori and of course Osaka Castle. We stayed here for 6 days but there were so many other things we still want to do. We'll definitely return.

Osaka is just another big city, like New York, San Francisco...

Osaka is just another big city, like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles. It doesn't quite offer the same Japanese charm that you feel in Kyoto, or even in some regions of Tokyo. The Dontonbori in the evenings is very busy, as is the Shinbashi Street Shopping District. There are tons of restaurants and shops. Expo 2025 was in progress, and although we were interested in attending, many people we met who had been there said it wasn't what they expected, with too many visitors on some days, reaching over 250,000. We did visit Universal Studios Japan, which was great, but the lines were anywhere from 60 - 120 minutes. Have patience if you choose to go!

Osaka was a pleasant surprise. We had been to Tokyo, Okayama and Kyoto and included Osaka because I was flying out from there. I regret not having spent more time here. If I had to plan another trip, I would skip Okayama and spend more time in Osaka.

This hotel was the accommodation highlight of our trip! The rooms were clean and spacious (compared to many other hotels in Japan) and the staff were so lovely and helpful, especially when forwarding our luggage to our Tokyo accommodation. It’s in such a prime location to the Yotsubashi/ Midosuji train lines, with a supermarket within 2 mins walk and a laundromat down the road. Also walkable distance to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. Loved our stay and will definitely be back if we’re ever in Osaka again!

It was the perfect place to stay for a couple. Osaka Metro is very close (4 min walk). JR line is 10 min walk. It is a lively place but you don't find any noise. It offers a balcony, Small kitchen, Washing machine, Fridge and Oven (Pretty much every thing you need). Though the Bathroom was smaller in size but it was manageable considering Japanese hotels.
