A simply lovely, unique place to stay when visiting Aso-san. The host is friendly and accommodative. The price was very reasonable, and it has a excellent view of Mount Aso during a clear day, especially sunrise/sunset.

Even though the place is quite remote, it is spacious, clean, and equipped with almost everything we need. The owner is well communicate and provide necessary details and strict rules for staying. We were there for 3 nights and very much enjoy our stay.

The staff was so nice and friendly, always available to help. The room was very big and we were able to have the onsen only for ourselves. I totally recommend this place.

The star gazing tour is quite incredible. It is a never-to-be-forgotten holiday memory. The experience of lying under the stars while an expert talks you through what you can see was incredible. The breakfast was delicious too and the staff had prepared a vegetarian one for me, which I requested in advance. The staff are very helpful and kind.

Excellent breakfast and dinners, far beyond our expectations. Shabu shabu, sashimi, sushi galore etc amongst a wide variety of food to suit most taste for buffet dinner, plus complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, wine, beer, sake, japanese whisky and brandy at dinner plus in the lounge after dinner. Quiet and serene surroundings despite near to a road, opposite Lawson and near to gas station. V convenient for driving to the tourist sites in Mt Aso. Room is a bit worn out but clean and big for Japanese standards. No wonder it was crowded. Great value for money.

The accommodation is a very big tradition Japanese house. The host is very friendly and interesting. You may request the host to prepare (DIY) BBQ for dinner. It is delicious and interesting, highly recommended. They heat the volcano stone to cook the BBQ.
