    There was a quaint cafe/sweet shop within walking distance that we fell in love with. They served amazing coffee in hand made cups and had the most delightful assortment of sweets and lollies - even Halloween sweets

    Staff was able to provide information clearly and was fluent in English. He was also very kind to pick us up from the train station for free. He also provided suggestions for sight seeing and restaurants. Highly recommend the accommodation due to the service and facilities.

    Tanabe was our starting point for our Kumano Kodo trek so we...

    Tanabe was our starting point for our Kumano Kodo trek so we stayed in Tanabe only one day not realizing how much there is to do in Tanabe. If we ever come to Tanabe again, we will be sure to stay longer to enjoy all that there is to do there. I think we could have stayed a whole week if we weren't going on our trek.

    Room was clean, living room was tidy and warm. The beauty of this kind of guesthouse is to talk to other guests, and as we’re all going to Kumano Kodo, we had some useful information exchanged. The guesthouse is very convenient to the Tanabe station, however when I visited, not so many restaurants around, only 7-11 at the station.

    Our host was very kind and went out of his way to help us with everything. The shuttle service from kii-tanabe and then to the start of Komano-kodo trail was very handy. The house sits on a remote hillside and was spectacular, with amazing views and quiet rural surrounds.

    The property was very comfortable with everything you need. The hosts were very kind and insisted on giving us a lift from the Tanabe train station and up to the start of the Kumano Kodo trail. They even dropped off our luggage at the luggage forwarding company.

    Amazing new place in Tanabe. Rooms are huge and incredibly comfortable. Tea and coffee provided on the house also very close to train station and Kumano Kodo information center.
