A wonderful city full of mountains if you like climbing this will be great for you and the nightlife is not bad and the people speak Russian and are closer to Russian culture this applies to the young generation I was studying medicine in this city for a year and the experience was wonderful and life is not expensive you can live like a king for 400 dollars including everything like an apartment for a month and food and bills and outings . From my experience, I recommend Fratelli Restaurant. It is an Italian-style restaurant and the only one that is open 24 hours. Very chill and relaxed small city. Good restaurants, some nice sites and very friendly people. If you are coming off the Pamir Mountains, do yourself a favour and stay and extra couple of days to relax and enjoy this little city.Guest review byLisa AnnCanada - 8.0

It is close to the center and there are supermarkets nearby as well as a few restaurants. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy breakfast because I was always out early. I can't say anything about that. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was big enough. I was in Osh after the Pamir Highway and wanted a slightly better hotel than the one on the Pamir Highway to relax and wash my clothes. But it's not a travellers hostel. With the amount of tourism in Osh I doubt it would survive without locals and Central Asian guests. It seems many locals use this hostel. So it does not have a social aspect like other hostels you stay in Kyrgyzstan. I met one other traveller and we most lly sat on the beds to chat. It's very modern though and beds super comfy.
