My stay exceeded my expectations. The room was large, very comfortable and exactly as pictured. Bathroom was spacious and beautifully decorated. AC worked well as did the cieling fan. Bed was very comfortable. The family who owns the property is very kind and gracious. They provided top quality service and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Breakfast was very good and filling. The pool is clean and nice to enjoy after a long day out. The property is only an 8 minute walk or so to Kabalana beach and a 10 minute walk to some good restaurants. Ahangama beach with a larger strip of restaurants is a short tuk tuk ride away.

I really enjoyed my time at Crystal Palace! The service was exceptional and breakfasts were plentiful and delicious! My room was very comfortable with everything you could want for a relaxing stay. I especially loved the shower with so many different settings available (it looks so futuristic!). I spent a lot of time on my balcony enjoying the sounds of nature. It is very conveniently located near the beach and many different dining options (though the restaurant on site had everything I could want for good prices). They can also arrange scooter rentals for you so you can explore more of the area. I highly recommend staying here while you're in Ahangama and can't wait to return myself!

We spent unforgettable days at Hotel SOLA with our family, and it truly felt like a little paradise. Nestled in the lush gjungle, the hotel offered a unique jungle atmosphere that we absolutely loved. The natural surroundings were full of life—monkeys, peacocks and plenty of different birds. It was peaceful, immersive, and deeply relaxing. The rooms are spacious, and beautifully designed with nature in mind. We especially appreciated the private balconies that looked out over the gardens. Our kids had the time of their lives! Between splashing around in the large pool, exploring the wide-open estate, and learning about all the local fruit trees, they were constantly engaged and excited. They even got to enjoy fresh coconuts picked straight from the trees, which was a total highlight. The food was awesome and a great combination of Sri Lankan and continental cuisine. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, Hotel SOLA exceeded all of our expectations. It’s a perfect destination for families looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and create lasting memories.

The place is so nice to walk around it’s full of amazing cafes , restaurants and small boutiques. All the restaurants are offering grey food and amazing view. The people are so friendly and it safe place. P

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

Definitely a quieter side of Sri Lanka, though its picking up and the nice part is if you have transport you can go visit the other beaches which are all in the same line and about 20-30 minutes distance within each other. There's a lot to do in terms if shopping some knick knacks, enjoying the food and some drinks as well. You just need to ask the locals where they go and what they like and you're bound to have a memorable time.

The room is nice and spacious and has airconditioning. We extended our stay twice! The host family is incredibly nice and helpful. They helped us get a scooter and treated us with coffee and sweets! Location is perfect, two minute ride to the beach and centrally located between Galle and Mirissa. The room is next to a school which you can hear in the morning. But with ear plugs it’s no bother. Would definitely stay again! This has been our best stay in the whole of Sri Lanka :)

Highly recommend coming to The Sandhya! Beautiful design hotel located right outside Ahangama. All rooms are facing directly to the beach. Everything is super well organised and the staff is great. The food is amazing and completely home made. You can also have traditional sri lankan food. No wish goes unheeded. The best hotel we have stayed in during our trip.

Max 5 min walk to Kabbalana beach, it’s located on the main road. Extremely friendly hosts, Dilan and Thileni felt as our Sri Lankan mum and dad, helping wherever they could: flexible breakfast times, scooter rental, taxi services and great tasty home cooked food! Thanks for a lovely stay.
