I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the essentials I needed—comfortable bed, fresh linens, and good air conditioning. What really stood out was the staff. They were polite, welcoming, and always ready to help with directions and local recommendations. The location was also very convenient. For the price I paid, the value was outstanding. I felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising on cleanliness and service. Will definitely come back again. Maraming Salamat 🇵🇭🙏

We have not stayed before but We found out that this hotel changed ownership in December 2024. So ignore any previous reviews. It is clearly run by professionals now and they have done extensive refurbishment. It is truly beautiful and spotlessly clean. It had a Superb beach location, lovely swimming pool. Double aspect infinity pool. Attentive staff. Hotel located on a little peninsula with lots of pretty areas to sit. Sunsets superb. Can walk along beaches to other hotels in Ahungalle otherwise you really need a tuk tuk which the staff will always get for you. ( and are cheap) we visited a huge reclining Buddha Temple whilst staying here. A must do ! Internet OK. Fridge in room. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Good supply tea and coffee and 2 waters daily. It was a lovely stay.

- Nice room with AC - Hot water (not so common in Sri Lanka) - Located next to the sea, two beautiful beaches close by (sunbeds provided) - One beach is a turtle nesting side - we were lucky and saw a turtle coming to the shore in the evening - Village is quiet with not many tourists - Property has a restaurant, they prepared us dinner on the beach for no additional price - Nice breakfast - Turtle sanctuary near by (we recommend Galbokka Sea Turtle Conservation where you can pet baby turtles) - Extremely lovely manager with a good sense of humour who did everything to make us feel welcome. Would definitely come back.

This is truly a hidden gem. If you book Dinesh's place you will get what is in the photos but at the same time you will get sooooo much more that can't be captured by a camera. You get the honor of being accepted by a local Sri Lankan family as one of their own. This warm hearted family will go to extra lengths to make you feel like in a home away and hard to leave :-). Compared to tourist hot spots in Sri Lanka, Dinuli is offering a unique experience at a reasonable price. Bottom line is if you are after something authentic this is a place for you and not a hotel with 24 hour service. Apart from accommodation, beach is amazing and for a change you can actually swim without being slammed by huge waves. They are manageable. You will not make a mistake if you book Dinuli. Thanks Dinesh and Tatta and whole family for a wonderful stay!

Place is pretty amazing, just 2 minutes to the beach & to any restaurant. Staff is very helpful with all the information I wanted. His knowledge of the area is an added value to the property. In room coffee is provided, I was able to cook my fresh food in the house kitchen.

Villa Nilnara was a great place to stay. The location was super clean and comfortable. The food was super nice! We had fresh fish with a nice and fresh salad. Also the variety of the breakfast was nice (local or international breakfast). Every day we were asked about the timing when we want to have breakfast and dinner and the staff was super flexible. The accommodation is located directly at a really nice beach. Which is super empty because there are almost no neighbors or tourist accommodations around. The “garden” and the pool offers enough space for everyone to have private and quiet time. Above all the staff was really friendly and helpful. Once our WiFi was broken and they arranged someone to come to fix it immediately. They also arranged a scooter. Everyone made us feel very welcome.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.

    Ahungalla is a little village, hence to see places around...

    Ahungalla is a little village, hence to see places around you need bus or tuk tuk services, they run on main road all the time. We loved Bentota - a resort 20 min on a bus - it had calm beach and cafes to eat/drink around. Just outside Bentota there is village where you can get good shopping for clothes, gifts etc. Galle is 50min drive on a bus from Ahungalla. It's a lovely historic place to visit. We liked Ahungalla as it's less busy/noisy than other towns, and the villa we stayed was 5min walk to the beach. There is a good supermarket for basic items.

    Beautiful contemporary hotel with direct sea views from all the rooms and communal spaces. Loved our Bay View room above the pool area. The room was stunning especially liked the outdoor shower. Fabulous to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. Team were helpful and very professional. Special shout out to the incredible Balinese spa therapist whose treatments were a highlight.

    Great location being right at the beach. Tents are comfortable. Mosquitonets could have a better shape. Owner Barbara is around to help if required. The whole family had very professional massages at the hotel.

    Everything that is said in previous reviews, we experienced as well. Nice, large room with good beds and very friendly people run the guesthouse. It is not a 5 star hotel of course, but it was all very nice.
