Great place to stay in Beruwala the hosts were very friendly and the room was huge. For us the location was fine as we had a tuk tuk, not sure if this would be as accessible without.

I would give Anveela 20 or 30 out of 10 for cleanliness alone. Everything and everywhere you look it was spotless, not a spec of dust. Hard to believe the property is 7 years old. Family rooms and the double were very spacious. We had 3 rooms/apartments. All very spacious. Property is a short walk to the beach. The pool was clean and warm even during the evening, not sure if it was heated. Nilan had arranged a tuk-tuk for going towards the city/stores. Return trip costed 600LKR including waiting at Cargill. On New year's eve we saw fireworks from the balcony, which was a bonus.

This villa was absolutely beautiful, it’s just been renovated to a very high standard. The whole villa has a stunning design and is very modern, it’s of outstanding quality, and extremely clean. The walk in showers are amazing, the bathrooms, bedrooms and living area are all beautifully designed. The villa is decorated to perfection, with Sri Lankan furniture and beautiful Sri Lankan paintings. You get the entire apartment on the top floor to yourself, and there is a private entrance to the top villa and a kitchen area. This villa is very private and has a lovely swimming pool in the garden. Rosa and her daughter Zara runs this property and they are wonderful, very hospitable people, they speak English and German fluently. The breakfast was delicious, with so many different combinations of Sri Lankan and continental with plenty of fresh fruits. The location is very nice and quiet, and in walking distance to the beach. Aluthgama is just up the road and has plenty of shops, restaurants, banks/ATM a good train station, and buses that run past every 10 minute. You will also love Billy the dog, he’s such a friendly dog and a big part of Sunny Villa. I highly recommend this property it’s very good value for money.

We had a stay of one night after our stay at the other villa of Shameera. Also this Villa is a great place to be, really fantastic. Once again, the host Shameera is a wonderful guy. He is so kind and polite, he helped with everything. eg giving some really good hints, what to do and what kind of activities are good to join. It was our pleasure to stay in this Villa also and also to meet such a great person like Shameera. Thank you for everything, you have done for us.     Not many food options in the area. Beach is okay not great. Ocean beyond the reef is very rough, no real swimming area. Area is also not very upscale, compared to other areas we have been to in sri lanka.

    Lovely place to relax. Large beach.

    Lovely place to relax. Large beach. Not many restaurants on the beach and not as populated with tourists as other areas we visited, but we loved spending time in Shah Shah's and found a sun bed to relax in with an umbrella. Also recommend Pier 88 to eat out in near by Aluthgama, lovely river views and good quality food. Also recommend Kandoori if you fancy a bit of Indian cuisine. We didn't do many day trips as we had already done some in Mirissa but we did do a boat safari that was pleasant enough. Great location if you want to be relatively near to Colombo and the airport. We mostly relaxed by the pool and had Ayurvedic massages so recommend finding a nice hotel with good facilities. Worth a visit.

    This is a absolutely great place to stay. Right at the beach and with the friendliest staff. Sam who is the owner is such a kind and caring person. He drive us in his own car and show us a beautiful tempel, looked up the train time for us and was all the time very caring about that we had a good stay. The room is big with good AC, wifi and a altan where you can see the sunset over the ocean. We would love to come back one day!

    The staff were excellent and helpful nothing was too much for them friendly smiling staff made our stay very joyful. Walking distance to the lovely beach. Kumar the manager was helpful and gave advice about the area. We would definitely return and recommend the hotel.
