Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! The staff here is truly the best we have ever encountered – attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with a fantastic ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Without even asking, they graciously upgraded our room because there was availability – such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. So, we were 3 friends, and we spent an incredible 8 days in the Temptation. Great location for young people. Lots of tourists, clubs, restaurants and the beach with high waves, excellent for surfing. The staff was great, very kind, helpful, friendly, able, and ready to help with everything you need. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but I guess a little bit small. We took 3 rooms because the price was good and it was great. You can find ants and sometimes some small lizard on the wall, but that was ok for us :D they're not dangerous. I guess it's ok for Sri Lanka weather. Overall it's one of the best hotels nearby in Hikkaduwa. P.S. One of my friends decided to stay for another 7 days, he liked his stay so much

This is the hotel we liked the most during our stay in Sri Lanka. It’s situated next to the lagoon. The room is spacious, bed comfortable, delicious breakfast & very kind and friendly staff. The river safari is also agréable, we’ve seen different animals. If we come back to Sri Lanka, here is the place we want to stay again.

Villa Kaya is amazing!!!!! So calm and nice accommodation. Staff is really polite and kind. Breakfast is really good. Rooms are clean and comfortable - nice pool and monkeys ... they were amazing. It has a super nice vibe and I am out of words really!

What a beautiful place to stay! Great place to relax by the pool or use as a base to explore the area. Rooms were spacious, breakfast was delicious and really wished we could have stayed longer. The host Peter really made everything special!

The location was perfect. Right on the beach in front of the surf breaks. Staff were absolutely amazing, so genuine and helpful. The room was so clean big and comfortable. Great air conditioning. Surf board hire as well so easy to get out into the surf. Our favorite accomdation in Sri Lanka. We ended up extending our stay here and coming back again.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had a welcome juice and unlike other places could take card or cash. The jungle setting and location was quiet a d tranquil and I loved the surroundings. Birds, palm squirrels and the accommodation's dog added to the experience. The room was big and spacious with a back patio area to have drinks and look at the jungle. Tea and coffee and toiletries came with the room, toilet roll. Some places haven't so just thought it was worth mentioning. I loved the outdoor pool and the general outdoor area. I chilled with a book outside.

    Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

    Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

    The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

    I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

    I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

    Excellent location , Great food & , above all , brilliant helpful staff But … In need of refurbish. The rooms - especially bathroom needs to be updated. The AC unit Very noisy , even on lowest setting.

    Hikkaduwa is one of the best places to stay few days at the southeast coast of Sri Lanka. Very nice,clean beach with fine golden sand,many guest houses and hotels,restaurants. Easy to reach nearby historic Galle town by bus or train-ca 1/2hour, Bamian Buddha Statue/Tsunami museum in Peraliya or Seenigama Buddish/HinduTemple few hundred meters away.

    An exceptionally beautiful hotel and very well located. This hotel really has everything you need for a Sri Lanka vacation. The rooms with a sea view are unique. What we liked most were the people there. The staff are very friendly and you always feel well looked after. The beautiful roof terrace deserves a mention. There you can enjoy the evenings and enjoy the breathtaking view of the entire beach of Hikkaduwa. We will definitely be back next year.

    The room was huge, very comfortable, with a large bed, a balcony and a big, super clean bathroom. It is absolutely spotless and the comfort is like in a 5 star hotel. There is aircon and a fan and wifi is strong. The villa is 3 mins walk to a local beach or around 10-15 mins on the bus to Hikkaduwa beach. The villa is close to many restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. Most importantly, Aruna and his family make your stay amazing. Highly recommended

    Beautiful boutique hotel by the beach with dark wood decor. Very gracious and helpful staff, notably Madura. The hotel provided our kids with a box of toys to play in the sand, which was a nice touch. You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner on the beach listening to the crashing waves.
