The staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet. We were in the property for 5 hours only for a quick stop over and they looked after us so well; cold water on arrival and breakfast in the morning (complimentary!). They also offers drivers for your stay in Sri Lanka.

The hotel is located very close to the airport and railway station. It is like a little green oasis of peace and calm in the middle of the city. The hotel is well designed around a courtyard, with plenty of plants giving it a very tranquil feel. The pool was clean and refreshing with sun loungers available and extra towels provided. The room was clean and airy with a terrace outside and a good level of amenities. The shower room was excellent with good water pressure and hot/ cold water. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant attached with a decent range of tasty food. The hotel is very good value. We were afforded a late check out at a very reasonable price The staff were great, lovely people. I noticed several other hotels nearby but if i were to be looking for a comfortable and relaxing hotel in anticipation of a flight or train journey, I would definitely choose Olinia. Thank you for a great stay.

    Katunayake is a convenient location for travelers, especially those flying in or out of Bandaranaike International Airport. It’s a busy area with easy access to transportation and essential services, making it ideal for short stays before or after a flight. I stayed at Hello Airport Hotel during my time in Katunayake, and it was a great choice. The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, which made it perfect for my early morning departure. The location couldn’t be better for transit passengers. The check-in was smooth, the staff were polite, and the room was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, convenient stop near the airport, I’d definitely recommend Hello Airport Hotel.

    We stayed here overnight after travelling around Sri Lanka. We did not expect the warmth and kindness we received. The room was very cheap, yet large, clean and the proprietor even gave us lifts locally to the shops etc.

    I arrived too early BUT, as a result, had a GREAT pedicure and head/neck massage, about an hour in all. Perfect preparation for a 10.5 hour flight to London. Recommended go early snd indulge yourself.

    Great view from the balcony, the outside area is incredible. I would have like to investigate the grounds more, such an attractive building! And in an interesting area, bus stops right along the main road (about 5 min walk). The rooms are basic and could be cleaner. The ensuite bathroom was a little smelly. Wifi worked really well. The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. We received a free bottle of water on arrival. Breakfast is available at an extra charge. The directions to the hotel aren't clear, the tuk tuk driver needed to phone multiple times, very kindly a staff member came to the entranceway to signal for us.

    Great overnight stay after 5 hour flight. Close to the airport. Absolutely new building (that’s the reason why there aren’t many reviews yet), clean rooms, bathroom, comfortable beds. Everything was like in description. Keerthi was very hospitable and helpful. Served us good continental breakfast with eggs, bread and jam in a pleasant dining room upstairs. Kitchen was clean, had kettle and cooker, fridge , cups, and plates. No insects of mosquitoes AC worked well, WiFi was good. Thanks, and recommend this hotel

    The hotel is really modern and staff is super friendly and forthcoming. We got offered packed breakfast, since we had to leave early for the flight. There was a wedding taking place with loud music, but it stopped at around 22:30, and then we had a quiet night. Dinner was absolutely amazing (can really recommend the Amora dish platter!) and at low cost. We didn't take the airport shuttle however, since 20$ is a multiple of the Uber. For the rest we can absolutely recommend this hotel, especially as an airport hotel!

    Very well managed hotel, everything well organized and clean. On a quiet area, compact and with easy access to airport. Markets near by. Staff extremely helpful and easy to reach. Overall a perfect stop near the airport, especially with the transportation provided by the accomondation -greatly appreciated! Special bonus for the cool swimming pool (and with cool I mean that the water was refreshingly cool after some hot days and hot travel).

    The villa was spotless, was beyond our expectations especially for an accommodation in Katunayake area. We only had one night stay after a very late landing and we all got much wanted sleep. The breakfast was really good and plenty. The staff was amazing and they went above and beyond to cater for our special needs of wanting to sterilise baby items in a microwave as there wasn’t one available in the villa. Highly recommend.

    My flight got delayed late at night, and I had to stay an extra day. I found Hotel Serene Villa at a great price, and they even sent a shuttle to pick me up from the airport. The staff were super friendly and helpful—they even ordered food for me since I didn’t know the area. The room was clean and comfortable, and the English breakfast was delicious. Great service, great value. I’ll definitely come back!
