Recently stayed at Tara Waterfall Hotel for a night and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is a perfect example of modern minimal architecture, with its sleek design and glass walls. The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking view of the Handapan ella waterfall from our room and pretty much from everywhere in hotel. Waking up to such a stunning sight was truly unforgettable. The room was very comfortable and large and had a balcony overlooking the tea estate and waterfall. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Food was also good and reasonably priced.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at OwinRich during my trip to Godakawela, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. One of the highlights of my stay was witnessing the sheer joy on my kids' faces as they splashed around in the pool and explored the hotel grounds. The family-friendly atmosphere of OwinRich made our vacation truly memorable. Moreover, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. They even arranged a safari to Udawalawe National Park for us at the best price possible, allowing us to marvel at Sri Lanka's incredible wildlife. Overall, I can't recommend OwinRich highly enough. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or solo, this hotel offers everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We were a family of five with adult children and had the whole villa for ourselves, and the experience was amazing! The villa is newly built and everything felt brand new but yet very familiar with Ishan heading a super attentive and nice staff. The views are breathtaking over the surrounding mountains, with a small river pond on the property to take a refreshing dip into (together with the small fish givning you a interesting fish spa experience). We just felt blessed staying in this tranquille environment, enjoying excellent food and just hanging out together. It was definitely more than worth the bumpy ride up to this place. Big thanks to Ishan with staff that made this an extraordinary experience.

We've accommodated in hotel sanctuary last week. It was very clean and attractive.The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well organized.The pool area was fantastic, to have fun.The hotel keeper was very friendly and helpful.The hotel owner was the same. The meals were really delicious.We could enjoy the scenic beauty of rakwana mountains right from the hotel.That accomodation package was very reasonable for the payed price.I recommend this place for people, who are expecting a perfect stay near Rakwana.

What an amazing place! Perched high on the hillside overlooking beautiful countryside surrounded by tea, cinnamon, flowers, monkeys, birds. A real gem. Delicious evening meals with a great view! Shiva was very kind and helpful!

Best hotel of 6 in our entire trip. The area is amazing, the view is breathtaking. One can swim in the pool or in the river just outside the garden. The staff is extremely friendly, they have a sweet dog, fresh maracujas and lizards, warans and beautiful birds to give you the right jungle vibe. The water is warm, WiFi sometimes a little shaky but overall good. We will definitely come again!

Absolutely amazing owner and family. So nice and helpfull, made our stay one to remember. The place is tucked away in beautiful lush rainforest, rooms very clean and food was great. Glass room was amazing with clear view of all animals and nature. 10/10. Will come back.

Best expirence you will have in sri lanka ! First of all the house itself is a peace of art ! You can see the hostes think of every small detail and alot ofoney was invested to make sure gusstes are happy ! From the uniqe decoration to the tje built of the house and matireals of huge stones and wood all over rhe house huge speaker system the mosf beautofull jungle view i had ever seen ! And most importent the hosts ! Lovely couple that you can feel the love and hospitalety they give to the guestes from high qualify diverss meales made by a chef how is the owner to the rides trips and all requesr we had they did more then we ever expected and with a huge smile every timr !! Surly the besf faciliys best foid best view and best hospitalety i had ever recived ! No words will be enoghu ! Thank you jani and malu ! We are for sure going to be your guestes soon ! Clean and quiet place with lovely hosts

Absolutely the Best Way to Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest! This was our favourite place we stayed on Sri Lanka trip. This eco-lodge is hands down the ultimate way to experience the magic of the Sinharaja Rainforest. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear you’re in for something extraordinary. The location is beyond words—completely surrounded by lush rainforests, making you feel truly immersed in nature. It is so peaceful and quite - no noise from roads, traffic etc. The staff made our entire stay seamless and stress-free. They have a convenient car park in the nearby village, where they meet you and transfer you up to the lodge in a 4x4—what a fun start to the adventure! We stayed for two nights (but would have happily stayed a 3rd). The accommodation is spectacular. Large windows on every side of the room allow you to feel like you’re right in the heart of the jungle. Waking up to the incredible sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable, and we even spotted monkeys and exotic birds right in our room! Amazingly, you also get wifi in your room. The staff were outstanding, from the friendly restaurant team to the knowledgeable guides. On arrival, the Duty Manager, Mithun, warmly welcomed us, explained all the details about meal times, and helped us plan treks into the rainforest. They offer a variety of treks and provide you with a guide. They are also pretty flexible, We wanted a longer trek to explore more of the jungle and this wasn't a problem. The trek itself was a dream. We spotted an incredible variety of wildlife, including lizards, snakes, and a stunning array of Sri Lankan birds. The guides were so knowledgeable and enhanced the experience. Overall, this was incredible value for money. Running such a well-maintained eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest can’t be easy, yet they make it feel effortless. If you’re looking for great value for money and an unforgettable way to explore Sinharaja, this is absolutely it.
