Everything was amazing, I couldn't recommend the hotel enough. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful, water in the shower was hot, the beds were comfy. 10/10 definitely!

My stay was spectacular. I stayed here for a week, then returned for another 1.5 weeks. Benjamin easily accommodated my last minute request for a much needed early check in, as well as my last min booking for the second stay. I had the room on the top floor. It was beautiful and exactly like the pics. The AC worked very well and I could control it. The bathroom was very clean and nice, which is really my only requirement for a residence. The bed was super comfy and I really appreciated that there was a proper duvet. I also really like that there was a good hair dryer and it even had the attachments! Padmini and Gamini were wonderful hosts, and made me a fantastic breakfast every morning. This hotel started to feel like home. It is a few min walking distance to a small and modern shopping complex which has a good grocery store, a pharmacy, a Subway, Baskin Robbins, and Popeyes. It is a few mins walk from Mount Lavinia hotel and the beaches. The road can get a little dark at night, but I felt safe. It was very easy to call an Uber and it was walking distance to the main road, where Hotel Rd meets Dehiwala.

    Great place to stay in Colombo area away from city centre but close enough for easy access to city amenities, shops and restaurants. Lovely colonial era building full of charm. The terrace and pool area is unique - right on the ocean. Nothing quite like it in the Colombo area.

    This Colombo (south) hotel is highly recommended for travellers. It is extremely competitively good on price and I often wonder how they make any money with the usual superb and attentive services that come with the competitive price tag! The location is definitely the MOST exotic out of ALL Colombo hotels and also, it virtually has its own train station (well nearly, as it's yards away from the building) adding to the convenience of getting to Colombo North side. The hotel keeps its beach grounds VERY CLEAN...in fact, spotless which again is superb for an older city hotel. This is MUST TRY hotel as its a genuine heritage hotel as well of about 220 years and a lovely historical back story behind the name too!

    Our hotel lodge was disappointing.

    Our hotel lodge was disappointing. We had to comply with what they wanted! We found an amazing guide at the beach who showed us the market, had a meal with his family and took us on a couple of tours. He made our visit here worthwhile. The beach looks lovely but swimming in sea not recommended.

    My stay was quite comfortable, I felt very much at home. The staff were really friendly and super accommodating, especially James. And the host was great at checking in to see if I was okay and if I needed anything. The home is also located near the beach is amazing and close to various amenities which is great. Even With the shared kitchen and dinning area, the home still offered the needed privacy during my stay. I'd come back if I get the chance to visit Sri Lanka again

    Luxury interior, great, big bedrooms. Theres a big kitchen, with dining table for 8 people with modern living room. On 2nd floor are bedrooms with 2 luxury bathrooms and one shared living room where we watched netflix before sleep. You can chose breakfast (Sri Lankan or western), both are awesome. House is in quiet part of Colombo, 10km from city centre, 3km from beach. There is also 24h guard in front of complex so bothing to worry about safety.

    Having previously stayed in many big hotels in SL this one is almost up there with them.i understand the situation is not great and not many tourists, but overall it was very comfortable loved the beds, shower, etc. Lovely staff especially the room staff. All good and they did do their best that's all you can ask for , will stay there again.

    be sure, it is the best option for staying in 10 minutes drive from the National park Wilpattu. the room was VERY clean, cosy, the mattresses are new and comfortable, AC and hot water!!! Dylan (the owner) is very friendly. hotel provides launch and dinners -everything is very simple but Ssoooo tasty! highly recommended to visit!

    Comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Swimming pool in secluded area and great chill out area on the rooftop. Only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The staff were all super friendly and gave good recommendations for places to go in Sri Lanka as well as the best route to take.

    A great, well maintained & cozy place in Mount Lavinia with matching walls to bed linen and furniture with lots of extras if you're looking to entertain or just relax. Most of all the owner Jerome who is a wonderful host we will definitely return.
