I had a wonderful stay at this private luxury cottage near Galle. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage was exceptionally clean, with comfortable linens and all the necessary amenities, including tea, coffee, hot water, and toiletries—all provided free of charge. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, served in a peaceful setting with the soothing sounds of birds and stunning nature views. Additionally, the nearby village offers unique experiences like cinnamon peeling, hiking, and birdwatching. I stayed at Sinharaja Pitadeniya Hut in Lankagama during our research work in Sinharaja, and it was an excellent experience! The location is ideal—conveniently close to the main road and within easy access to both the Lankagama and Pitadeniya entrances of Sinharaja Forest Reserve. This made it very practical for our research activities. The food was another highlight. Breakfast was included in the price and featured authentic local dishes, which were both delicious and satisfying. The host was incredibly friendly and supportive, always ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The accommodation itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment to relax after a day of work. Overall, it’s a great place for anyone visiting the area, whether for research or leisure. Highly recommended!

Staying at the rainforest cabin was one of the highlights of our one month long stay in sri lanka. The place is incredibly beautiful and it was so nice to be surrounded by nature. Ravindra is a great host and made our stay really special. He arranged a guided rainforest tour for us and took us on a little hike close to the cabin. We would not change a thing and can only recommend staying at this hidden gem.

Vinni and family were exceptional hosts. Beautiful location, clean room and bathroom, aircon a fan and a view! Peace and quiet amid the spectacular Sinharaja Rain Forrest. Vinni has a vast knowledge of the birds and wildlife of the forrest. A wonderful guide. The restaurant is simple and the food traditional, not boring at all. We selected a variety of of dishes - all were prepared freshly with wonderful skill. The sambals that accompanied the dishes were amazing. The fresh juices were some of the best! Vinni can organise transfers to and from Sinharaja, in fact nothing is to much. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.

a perfect checkin made a perfect first impression: the whole place was just like in any westerner's dream, who wants to stay in a rain forest for a few days: spotted meny monkeys, crocodiles, birds, mammals from our terrace and even from our bed, through the windows! Very calm place, but still close to the main road and villages. The equipment is of course basic, as should be in such a place, but still, the insect-free bedroom, hot water provided clean bathroom adds a lot to the experience. Having your meals at the place is recommended, as it is all prepared a la minute according to your taste, and served on your teracce. Just dont stay here if you usually like huge resorts, nightlife and busy days, as this retreat wont be suitable for you. Our tip is to switch our phone off at least for a day of your stay, but anyway, the wifi issue, mantioned in some previous comments has been resolved. I hope this place stays the same for many years to come! Enjoy.
