My stay at the Swiss Bay Hotel in Arugam Bay was truly outstanding. It's a place that perfectly blends serene comfort with the vibrant spirit of Sri Lanka's east coast, leaving me with cherished memories and a strong desire to return. The location is simply unparalleled, right on the golden sands of Arugam Bay. Waking up to ocean views and having direct beach access for swims and surfing was incredible. What truly elevated my experience was the exceptional staff. Every member, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant team, provided genuine warmth and attentiveness, making me feel like a valued friend. Their friendly smiles and readiness to assist were remarkable. The accommodations were a tranquil haven: spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat. Beyond the comforts, the atmosphere of Swiss Bay Hotel strikes a perfect balance between lively energy and peaceful relaxation. My time here was an absolute dream. It's a place where every detail is cared for, every guest is cherished, and every moment feels like a true escape. We loved the place!!! This is what I call a resort! Anna and Nico will make you feel like a part of the family! Besides hospitality, service is excellent, food is really good, drinks and cozynes will make you stay more in this paradise! I couldn't stay more, but it is definitely a place where I will come back! Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Beautiful family run hotel outside the busyness of the town. The family run hotel have super friendly staff, the food is good and reasonably priced and it was such a haven of relaxation to sit by the pool in the day. People tend to stay for slightly longer periods of time so there's a really nice community feel that doesn't feel overcrowded at all

Babar Point is the kind of place you arrive at and immediately know you’ve found something special. Tucked away in Pottuvil, just a short walk from the surf point, this boutique hotel feels like a little slice of heaven. The design is so thoughtful — six cozy cabanas surrounded by nature, a beautiful pool, and the best mango lassis we’ve had in Sri Lanka. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the owners — a kind and welcoming Swiss couple who made us feel like part of their family. Their warmth, love, and attention to detail created an atmosphere that felt both homelike and magical. We loved being in this quieter corner of the coast, away from the busy center of Arugam Bay, where you can still surf, spot elephants by the beach (yes, really!), and reconnect with nature.

One of the Best hotel! As a person who stay there 5 nights, during my stay I replace to Luxury room, I can defiently say this is one of the best in Arugam! First the staf were so friendly! Helping with every request, helping with lately check out, and were very friendly! Food: we took 3 breakfast, it was good, value for money they have a resturant menu. But in the last two nights we prefer to eat outside. Swimming pool: As a person who like to swim, I really like to swim there, part of the swimming pool cover by shadow and part by sun. Finally, I really recommend about this Hotel! This should be your first choise!
