So peaceful!! This was a true highlight of our trip. The beds in the tents were soooo comfy, we ended up extending for two extra night. We went on a really great hike with our guide Banu too who was so knowledgeable, it really topped off the experience for us. If you’re looking for something off the tourist track and really in nature this is definitely the place to book.

Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles was nothing short of magical! As part of our Sri Lankan tour, we arrived on 07/07/2025, and from the moment we stepped into this peaceful retreat, we felt completely at home. We requested a guided hike, a nature walk, and an educational tour focused on the rich flora and fauna of the Knuckles region—and the team delivered beyond our expectations. Every experience was thoughtfully curated, offering the perfect balance of adventure and insight. The infinity pool with its breathtaking mountain views quickly became our favorite spot to relax. The authentic Sri Lankan meals were a true culinary delight, bursting with flavor and tradition. One of the most memorable evenings was spent by the crackling bonfire, enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner under the stars—pure magic! Thank you to the wonderful hosts at Royal Mountain Edge for creating such a warm, welcoming, and unforgettable experience. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and a deep appreciation for this hidden gem. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful escape into nature!

The location is simply amazing with a stunning view on a lake and mountains. Small team extremely dedicated to make your stay a pleasant one. Kudos to Thiloka for her patience and always smiling. Great breakfast and food, the best we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely a place we will remember.

Getting there by private car was a challenge, google maps is simply not accurate. Best way is to contact resort before. The team is outstanding, booked only a day before and they managed to make us feel at home. Will come back for sure

Recently visited, had the most amazing unique experience. One of the best Villa I have visited. food is amazing, however the variety is less. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The staff is very friendly and service is really good. My husband and I spent four amazing nights at Celestial Hills in Kandy for our honeymoon, and I can honestly say it was the most magical place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a hidden paradise. We stayed in one of their beautiful villas, and the staff made sure we felt like royalty the entire time. Every night, they decorated our room in a different, special way, knowing we were there for our honeymoon. On Diwali, they truly went above and beyond—lighting candles, creating a stunning Ganesha on our bed with flowers, and leaving a mixture of Indian and Sri Lankan sweets for us. This thoughtful touch meant so much, especially as it was our first Diwali away from home. The villa itself was stunning—spacious with incredible views of the valley and sunrise. Every morning, we woke up to a breathtaking view, watching the sky change from purple to orange. It was like something out of a nature documentary, only better because we were there to experience it firsthand. Our private pool and large balcony made it even more special—we had breakfast there most mornings, taking in the serene atmosphere. Leaving each day for sightseeing felt like we were leaving heaven, but returning in the evening always felt like coming back to it. The service at Celestial Hills is by far the best I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve traveled quite a bit. From the moment we arrived, Andrew, the resident manager, welcomed us with pineapple achar and tea. Throughout our stay, he stayed in contact via WhatsApp, making sure we had everything we needed. No matter what we asked for, it was brought to us within minutes. Andrew truly went out of his way to make our stay perfect. Everyone we met was so warm and welcoming, it didn’t even feel like we were at a hotel—it felt like we were staying with family. The chefs, in particular, were incredible.

    Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles from 16/05/2025 was an unforgettable experience! It began with a guided hike organized by the team, tailored perfectly to our preferences. The hike was magnificent, with an excellent and caring guide. The packed lunch provided during the hike was both delicious and energy-packed—just what we needed. After the hike, we returned to Royal Mountain Edge, where we enjoyed a refreshing dip in the infinity pool followed by warm tea and local snacks. In the evening, they surprised us with a cozy bonfire, serving local brews as we warmed ourselves by the flames. For dinner, the BBQ platter was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The silence time began at 11:00 PM, but until then, we immersed ourselves in the serene forest surroundings and its enchanting nightlife. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat after an adventurous day. The next morning, we woke up early to watch the sunrise near the pool, accompanied by a hot cup of coffee graciously served by the staff. Breakfast was a delightful spread of local delicacies, including milk rice, lunu miris, chicken curry, and fresh fruits. It was the perfect way to end our magical stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles. Highly recommended for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!
