Our stay was unforgettable! We spent two nights of our honeymoon at Art Yala, and everything was perfect. The property is stunning, with beautiful lake views, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We enjoyed every moment of our time there. Madu also organized an amazing safari experience for us. Highly recommend this place, and we can't wait to return soon!

Clean and very spacious rooms. Stunning view towards the rice paddies and lake. Lovely pool to refresh and relax. The host family could not be more welcoming, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Dinner and breakfast were very, very delicious!! We would have loved to stay much longer. Thank you everyone for being so kind to us, we'll come back some day. Also you can back your Safari here. The host Janaka organizes the trips himself and has the best drivers. We saw 2 Leopards with his diver Damith and were very happy with how he guided us through the Safari!

wonderful place nice climate and we love the nature in hotel and It has beautiful lake view and full of nature. Randy and his family were amazing host, the friendliest you can ever find in Sri Lanka, always willing to help and give attention. Food (both breakfast and dinner) were really tasty. Randy took us on his motorbike to visit the amazing landscape and lake around. We felt good from the very beginning and felt sad to leave such great people and souls.

From the moment I entered the property, this place exceeded my expectations. Gamunu and his family run it. We were welcomed by his daughter with a fresh king coconut drink and she quickly helped us check in. Gamunu was checking on us throughout the stay to make sure we were comfortable and for anything we wanted. This room has everything you need in this type of property and has a large balcony with amazing views of Debarawewa Lake. The location is ideal for exploring the area and visiting nearby attractions. Debarawewa lake is a great place to walk or drive around, and Tissa Lake is nearby. Our schedule doesn't allow us to try out the food at this property, but we'll come back again.

    The owner of Serenity lake advices us to visit Yala safari, Sithul pawwa magul viharaya and sithul pawwa a super history with beautiful scenery, which we did and we're very grateful for his advice. We returned to the serenity lake to have lunch before heading off. Requested for a village kind of lunch with the local veggies and it was served on a lotus leaf... The most delicious meal it was. We had lunch at Reds and at the Serenity lake .

    The location is excellent and the resort is real value for money . The food was excellent . The rooms were nice . The toiletries in the bathrooms needs to improve . The bathroom needs exhaust fans as it can get quite stuffy . The resort manager Mr Upal is a nice friendly bloke and is exceptional in his service . Overall a very pleasant experience .

    This is a great location to stay if you want to visit the national parks and My Village will organise safaris to the four parks in the area either a half or full day. The local town is not a tourist town but it's great to wander around looking in the local shops.

    We were there the first time for safari.

    We were there the first time for safari. We had a tour to the Buddha by the sea…amazing. This time we were passing through on our way to Ella. We ate at Red Pizza which was just as good second time round.

    Was in Tissamaharama for Yala Safari, had booked the early morning Safari. Disappointed with the Safari as there were very few animals except.for.peacocks and spotted dear. Later into the ride our jeep driver and guide revealed we had entered through block 5 of the Safari and most the animals(Leopard, Bears) mostly are sighted in block 1 and 2. Block 1 and 2 were closed that day, maybe just our luck. So I guess check, with the Safari organizer before booking your safari as it quite expensive. Basically disappointed ☹️

    Brand new small scale hotel in a beautifully designed building. Colors and materials are matching everywhere. The room and bathroom are huge. The from Art Yala organized Safari in Yala was arranged smoothly and the very kind driver was a real professional. He spotting skills are amazing. The rice and curry we had afterwards at the hotel was one of the best we had on Sri Lanka. The owner is strongly engaged in taking care of everything you need, specials requests included! I highly recommend this hotel, the price value was outstanding.

    The weather in Sri Lanka has been quite warm lately, but staying at this hotel made all the difference. Surrounded by lush greenery and plants, we hardly felt the heat; in fact, it felt pleasantly cool. The gentle breeze from the nearby lake provided an added sense of comfort, making it delightful to relax by the water's edge and enjoy a meal with a picturesque view. Plus, they even arranged a safari for us right from the hotel! If you're looking for a refreshing escape, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

    A fabulous place to stay if visiting Yala or Bundala National Parks. Very quiet but near lots of restaurants and shopping. Rooms were very clean and pool was very good. Amazingly cheap accommodation for what you get. Shantha and the rest of the staff were amazing. They organized our tours and transportation to our next destination for a great price. Breakfast was the best we have had in Sri Lanka and was huge. We could never eat it all. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Tissamaharama or Yala.

    We spent 2 months travelling Sri Lanka and this was probably the best hotel we stayed in!! The room was extremely spacious, well furnished and cleaned every morning. The decor was beautiful and the food at the restaurant was also good. The pool was very calming. We were also able to arrange a safari which picked us up outside of the hotel. The hosts prepared a picnic breakfast for us to take which was so helpful. They went above and beyond, it was great value!
