My intended destination was Luxembourg city.
My intended destination was Luxembourg city. I only stayed at Esch-sur-Alzette because it was the only accommodation I found within my budget at the time I was there. Luxembourg offers beautiful green parks and deep and dense green nature integrated around many parts of the city. It is well organised, reliable, and efficient. One very super comfortable and practical aspect of Luxembourg is the fee public transport including trams and trains! It was amazing. You just hop on and stop wherever you want in Luxembourg free of charge. And it works like clock work. You can plan and rely on it. However there is one thing I really did not like about Luxembourg. In Luxembourg I found more of a certain kind of people than I found even in Stockholm if you know what I mean! So as much as advanced, civilized and adorned with natural beauty Luxembourg is, the demography is spoiled with the invasion of a certain kind of people I hate even to look at.Guest review byNeilMalta - 8.0

The city had really good bus service. However, getting there and back to the airport in Luxembourg (Findel) is far too difficult. There were local establishments within close proximity for eating and socializing. There is also a super market in town for the nights if you want to stay in. The old Steel factory is a cool sight to see; fully rejuvenated to fit within the community to embrace its past glory days of processing & manufacturing Steel. Public transportation is available but was not feasible for direction I needed to go. I was very dependent on a local friend to get me around the area. There is a large parking garage below the Del Haize grocery store for those that bring or rent an automobile.Guest review byHenry - 6.0

Esch/Alzette is a former main city of the Luxembourg steel industry in the 1960/1970. In 2022, Esch/Alzette is one of three <Culture City of Europe>. Unfortunately, the decline and decadence since the steel industry crises in the 1980 is visible. This worked well, and had a lift up to the apartment. At street level, below the accommodation there was an excellent Indian restaurant and, around the corner an Aldi for buying provisions.
