Given that Assilah is quite small and the offer might seem insufficient, Mohamed’s recommendations were very helpful. Upon arriving to the neighbourhood, don’t let the untidiness and business of the commercial streets close by prevent you from enjoying your stay. Lovely Riad that feels like a home, with a cozy shaded garden for eating in the company of the resident turtles and cat. Beautifully decorated with a small pool and stunning views from the roof terrace. We also liked the breakfasts and dinners, delicious and prepared on site. But best of all was the welcoming, chilled and friendly staff, like Youssuf, Mohammed, Azzedine and Khalid, the owner. They are also very helpful and gave us good recommendations, like connecting us with Abdul, a nice taxi driver who shared some history about the town and the surroundings on the way to the excellent beach south of the town.
