Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.Guest review byYogeshSpain - 8.0

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was that only one tv channel was in English - BBC World. All others in French / Creole. No mainstream music channels. Tamarin is a small village, full of friendly people. The atmosphere is open and you get the sense of tranquility and safety. The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic. You can get anything there, even gifts. The Coffee shop at the Super U was two times cheaper than the other Coffee Shops. It is not very expensive at the Super U. The hotel has a nice spa, the activities were nice including Credits depending on the length of your stay. The staff is very nice and mostly helpful. However, the shower was broken and the shower door was leaking water so that every time we took a shower half the bathroom was under water. The guest house, outdoor spaces and my room were beautiful, clean and super cozy - definitely the best place to stay at in Tamarin! Wifi in my room wasn’t working, but I was offered to work on the balcony at the penthouse, so it was much more better option with a beautiful view as an bonus. Fabrice and Pascal are such a welcoming and kind people. And also what you can excpect as a bonus are two german shepards with puppies ❤️. I would definitely stay again.
