We had the studio upstairs. The apartment had everything you could need. Kerstan the host was excellent and could not have been more helpful. She is ver approachable and gave us great tips about places to go and where to eat. She even booked us a table ahead of time as we were arriving over Christmas. Kerstan suggested excursions and even dropped us to the boat. We would definitely recommend Casa Frangipani to anyone coming to Mauritius

    La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants : La Case a Poisson and Tino's which have incredible food for reasonable prices. Not to be missed. Also, La Koquillishe has a taxi service which is extremely efficient and correctly priced. Ask for Patrick.

    A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

    The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.

    It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life.

    It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life. A few minutes bus ride is the unspoilt beach at Palmar. It is the best beach we have seen on the island. The reef is close to shore and the water is crystal clear.

    The layout of the hotel and its unique location made our stay absolutely unforgettable. The renovation in 2024 for the common spaces is very well made and you do not have the impression of an old hotel. The service is exceptional and we enjoyed the water sport facilities. We recommend to take the boats to both sides of the island and make use of the complementary activities such as wakeboard. We rarely consider to visit a hotel twice but the shangri la in Mauritius is worth visiting again!

    Very nice and clean rooms. 5 star housekeeping. Nazimah, the cleaning lady, was amazing. I loved how she folded towels in a shape of animals, really left me impressed. And the room was always super clean. Majority of the hotel staff was nice and friendly. Breakfasts were good. Nice sea views. I also loved how eco friendly the hotel is. They even use cotton bin bags which I have never seen in any hotel before.

    All staff were brilliant. The rooms spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. Food plentiful and something for everyone even fussy eaters like myself. Relaxing atmosphere. Really good value for money for an all inclusive hotel. Would definitely return.
