NetherlandsI have had a wonderful stay at dive and sleep guesthouse. Middho and his staff are amazing, really kind and are trying to make the most out of your vacation! I have seen a lot while diving and the underwater world was magical. If you are coming to the Maledives to dive and take some time of this place is perfect for you. The island is really small, so don’t expect other tourist or shops, but this was something i liked! The rooms are pretty, really clean and the bed was really nice and big! I could definitely recommend this location to others!

SloveniaWe stayed at White Sand Inn for 3 nights. And would stayed there again for sure. Great price performance, frendly and welcoming team. They arranged the transfer to and back, they arranged whale shark trip(found whale sharks in no time + Mantas), after whaleshark seeing went snorkling on different reefs(included in price).
(Through out all the trip they arranged all the transitions to different exit points)
They have option to get bikes (out prefered way of exploring thing(for free)). The owner arranged picnic island trip, again for free(maybe exlusive ocasion, but still, it happened:))
Great breakfast. Clean rooms.
They offer to wash and dry your cloathing, again free, which shows the hospitality that we receved.
The bikini beach is 2min away.
Scuba center(Shamar guest house) is next door. Our dive guide also stayed at white sand. (Shamar and white sand are owned by two brothers).
All in all great experience, I would recommened it to anyone who is planning to go to Maamigili.

United Arab EmiratesWe were relocated to this hotel after our original well-marketed hotel on the same island was overbooked, despite our early booking and confirmation. This hotel has far exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, spacious, with a balcony, ample lighting, and a lovely bath with a shower. Daily water and coffee were offered, and cleaning services were excellent. The staff was incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful—from reception & restaurant team to managers & cleaners. We were consistently offered assistance, from rides to Bikini Beach to food and amenities.
The perfect balance of personal space and attentive service made our stay incredibly relaxing. Although we didn’t take any excursions (as we just wanted to enjoy the ocean), the hotel also offers various trips, snorkeling, diving, and experiences with whale sharks, mantas, and coral reefs, with equipment provided.
We loved the hotel so much that when our original booking became available, we chose to stay here instead. The breakfast, dinner and local Maldivian meals were good & filling. The hotel’s restaurant offers a diverse menu, with local, Sri Lankan, European, and South Asian dishes, plus desserts. It’s also open to guests from other hotels & locals, all of whom we've seen coming a lot.
Our return trip to Male was flawlessly organized through the hotel, with staff assisting with luggage and escorting us to the jetty.
We highly recommend this hotel and its fantastic staff! We’re now eager to return and explore the Maldives' stunning underwater world.

Coffee machine and coffee can be used anytime.The owner is a very very friendly outgoing person, who is there for his guests. Anything his guests need they can ask him for. We went on amazing tours with him and his stuff. They did everything to make us see the stunning sea life around Maamagili island. He and his stuff met all my expectations.

PhilippinesI have been traveling together with my girlfriend to the Maldives and we really didn't know how it's going to be on a local island. Shahid (host) is a person that sets value on good communication beforehand as well as on the trip itself. Before we came there, we chatted via WhatsApp about everything important (flights, diving license, prices etc.). That helped a lot because we felt informed all the way through. I wanted to dive, but my girlfriend cannot. So, she could stay on the boat, could do some snorkeling while I was diving. Shahid managed everything and paid much attention on us feeling good. We could ask him anything at any time. The stay at La Cabana was way better than expected because of the very personal contact to the super-friendly staff.
All in all, the staff works in a very professional way, is reliable, open-minded, funny and makes you think of cancelling your flight back. :)
We definitely would recommend staying at La Cabana. If you are looking for a family-like guesthouse offering many awesome diving and snorkeling trips, you should book here.

Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. My favorite places were snorkeling from the pier of the Italian restaurant, and the water villas we stayed in (also good for snorkelling, but the water is very shallow). We had half-board, and were so happy with the breakfast and dinner buffets that we never opted for anything extra. Getting around in Maamigli on foot was easy for us, but I understand we could have requested golf cart transportation as well. We preferred walking. I was a little concerned beforehand whether we'd be spending a fortune on drinking water (since we didn't have all-inclusive), but drinking water was provided daily by the housekeeping, so no problem at all. Next time I'll make an even bigger effort to avoid getting sunburned. We used 50 SPF sunblock and re-applied often, but lengthy snorkeling still got some of our backs.Guest review byMikkoFinland

I got a free upgrade to fly to the island by plane from Male, pick-up and drop off to the speedboat on my way back. I got a nice, big room and they gave me an extra wifi router for my room, so I could work. I got a bicycle free of charge. The hotel is good, the staff is friendly. The beach is one of the best.
