Super cute little nature spot, comfortable beds, good facilities and the owner and staff are very nice and helpful

Perfect secluded spot outside of Bacalar to pair exploration with relaxation. The hotel has its own cute little pier with including Kayaks and Paddle Boarding. We used the Paddle Boards on our own, and also did the Sunrise Paddle Boarding tour which we would definitely recommend !

"Our stay was simply magical! We booked last minute, and it felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden paradise. The pictures honestly don’t do this place justice – the beauty here is beyond words. The garden is lush, with cozy, winding paths surrounded by tropical plants, and the whole place is meticulously cared for. We even picked fresh bananas from the trees for breakfast! You can see so many birds sitting in your private padio Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a super mattress that allowed us to sleep so peacefully. We left the mosquito net open to enjoy the breeze, which was just perfect. It’s hard to believe a place like this exists just a few meters after entering the town. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the daily special, and every meal was freshly prepared with local ingredients. The lobster with lemon sauce was honestly one of the best meals we've ever had! The pool is large, sparkling clean, and a great spot to relax – a true oasis on the north side of the lagoon, far from the crowds. We spent time in Bacalar, just a 20-minute drive away, but we loved relaxing in the pool and on the hammocks just as much. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, and breakfast was a delight each day, prepared with whatever fresh ingredients were available. This stay exceeded all expectations, and we’d recommend Casa Cactus to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in nature." We also explored a hidden beach club recommended by Casa Cactus it was beyond imagination. The route to the beach club is bumpy for 1 km, but it's worth a drive , we saw some monkeys when we were walking downhills to the dock. It feels like all the lagoons are just for yourself. We went to Bacalar too, but we preferred this quite part of the lagoon, so authentic tourism. Our best stay in Mexico. Don't think too much when you book it place . You will have amazing stays and conversations, and it's so personal .

Family who looking after property was so so welcoming. Lady showed all amenities, where to get fresh artisan bred( can beat fresh baked bread). Local people are very friendly. Place its a gem. Views to die for. Lake to swim and so peaceful. Colourful birds and beautiful nature sounds. Lady/ family who looks after property so welcoming and friendly made feel very comfortable and and without her would be not the same. Big thank you to them .

Wonderful place, the room was great and well furnished. Easy access to the lagoon with with kayaks and canoas available. Excellent breakfast. Really recommended.

We loved this place a lot! Beautiful setting on the lake, in the jungle with very nice facilities. A special thank you needs to go out to Ruby and Rudolfo. Their kindness and cooking skills were exceptional. We would love to come back very soon!

The comfortability, the location.. where the villa was situated next to the water. It was very relaxing with beautiful surroundings. I slept so good and felt very safe. We enjoyed the kayaking as well. I would love to come back! The sunrise was breathtaking!

It is a very comfortable jungle resort with ten free-standing two-story villas. The landscaping is gorgeous. We liked the large pool and the fitness room. The villas are air-conditioned, so even in the midst of summer, it was nice and cool. The bedrooms are equipped with king beds. You can drive the short distance to the beach, but we walked multiple times, which was an amazing experience because of the wildlife and vegetation. The mosquitos are not too bad, just avoid dusk or dawn.

The location, in nature, next to the lake. Appartement was big enough for us. Free kayaks which we enjoyed. Also swimming in the lake was nice.
