There are numerous sites to see in Merida, so book a stay that allows enough time to go on a few tours. I enjoyed the horse and carriage ride in the night - have a translator if your Spanish isn't good.

A safe, very walkable city with amazing food and great place to stay for many excursions! Friendly people and loved the warm weather! Our favorite restaurant was El Templo! We ate there twice! The food was delicious and priced reasonably!

I love the walkability of the old part of Centro Merida.

I love the walkability of the old part of Centro Merida. Lots of cafes and restaurants in all different price ranges. Some of the colonial buildings have been restored and some look like ruins which adds to the interest and intrigue. I felt very safe walking any time of the day or evening.

We mostly were either in the old part of Merida or on excursions to the beach or to a cenote or archeological site. There is so much to see and do and it is easy to get around by rental car. There are so many delicious restaurants too. Be sure to go to the Maya Museum!

Mérida is always a great idea, there are many things to do, plenty of museums, cultural activities. The gastronomy is amazing, super good restaurants and interesting points. Definitely visit a cenote (underwater caves), archeology areas, or even the beach. Very close to Puerto progreso, sisal and las coloradas.

Lovely city to walk through...either day or night strolling.

Lovely city to walk through...either day or night strolling...along Montejo or the main central plaza. Taxis were always available. We enjoyed the Women's Tennis Tournament in Merida. Enjoyed the shopping within the ciity....lots of beautiful, local handicrafts. We were happy to locate the grocery markets - Super Chedrau- very complete including wine and beer. We also enjoyed some of the restaurants - Cantina y Cerveza on Calle 63 was a bonus - live music, food and drinks - close to our hotel!

This is the best experience we have had in Mexico, hotel team are so great at communicating, arranged a driver to pick us up as our flight got in at 12.00am at night and welcomed us so late. We were 3 girls travelling felt so safe and looked after. HOWEVER THE BEST BIT, the team all seem to be friends, they are the most lovely people, you have breakfast to the sound of everyone in that hotel enjoying themselves and the warmth of the team here is like nothing else we have experienced in Mexico. Lovely lovely lovely lovely STAY HERE!!!!!

Casa Tres Colibries was the highlight of all the accusations I stayed in throughout Mexico. The beautiful gardens, the pool, the rooftop, the breakfasts and the rooms were all perfection. To top it all off the staff (Giovanna and Daniel) were amazing. It really is a perfect oasis in the middle of a fun and bustling Mérida. I am already recommending Casa Tres Colibries to friends/family and trying to figure out a way to return (from Australia) asap.

The best hostel/hotel I've ever stayed in Mexico! From the customer service, guest relations staff, to the kitchen/cleaning staff, the cleanliness, the decoration, the details and everything, this place is absolutely fantastic! I stayed in the dorm room, but it was very comfortable and quiet. This place deserves a solid 10.

Amazing place and amazing host. The breakfast was really nice, since there were options to choose from. We fell in love with this beautiful place Claudia created. She also provided us with all the tips we needed for merida. The pool was lovely and very clean. Would definitely go back to mexico just to stay here again.
