love the city, if you have never visited, I recommend taxi service, there is no Uber here. Also the food is great and the value way better than other places. I hired a cab driver for all my trips and he was OK with me texting him for pick ups and drop offs at the last minute. Not every cab driver has the flexibility. Lots of beautiful places to see. But, on my 2nd day I felt like I was stuck in North Korea. There were military men all over and they prohibited me from taking pictures or videos in a highly tourist section of the country. A local mentioned to me that nobody can talk bad about the countries government; if you are heard, you can be placed under arrest. We have to stop with Communism/Dictatorship! The local people in Managua are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and natural, extremely clean and little to no preservatives. Almost everything we ate was produced in the country or the region (central america). Allen is sooo sweet and does everything he can to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and have everything you need, breakfast is delicious and for diner you just walk 1 block to have the best local food ever (very cheap too).
