Such great value for money! Right on the water. Kayaks to rent. Amazing staff who will go out of their way to help. Rooms are basic but wouldn’t expect much more for the price.

Carlos was so lovely! He was very helpful, even offering to let us use his home gym if we wanted to. All the staff were great! The rooms were clean and spacious. The air conditioner was nice to come back to after being out all day.

We loved so much about our stay: Lucy and Danny, our hosts, were amazing and so helpful. The room was great. The food and coffee were delicious, location was beautiful and quiet. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience staying at El Encanto.

We stayed in the room with the private bathroom and it was just perfect. The shower even had hot water (not that you need it with the heat) and the room was really clean and made us feel at home. The hostel is surrounded by nature and they even offer filtered water which is really practical because buying countless plastic bottles was starting to annoy us. They also offer tours to the volcano, scooter rents and other activities for a very fair price. The breakfast is delicious as well, prepared fresh and with love. The owners were super friendly too. They told us what we could do in Ometepe giving their personal opinion on different activities without being pushy or trying to sell us any tours at all. We really loved our stay at Urraca Loca!

    Call finca mystica (FM) prior to arrival and have them set up transportation for you. Taxi to and from the ferry terminal then rent scooters or 4 wheelers or horses from FM. We rented 4 wheelers from the ferry terminal and had a long hot journey to and from FM.

    Great adventure, amazing people, and great food at...

    Great adventure, amazing people, and great food at unbelievable prices in General Great Island. Wants to go swimming: 1- OjO de Agua, 2-La Cascada[have to walk] 3-La Punta. Hungry well highly recoment " MIRADOR LOS VOLCANES " Now Down side: be aware of overprice on the Ferry also have to call in advance to be sure about ferry schedules and what side of the Island you want to go. Be prepare for Power Outrage [ take with you Battery pack/flashlight/power bank for cellphones ] Also because is water everywhere mosquitos repellant and drink a lot of water/electrolytes.
