I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Station Amstelveen, and it was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a unique charm that permeated every corner. From the cozy atmosphere to the outstanding service, Hotel Station Amstelveen offers the feeling of home I wish I had growing up. It’s a perfect blend of charm, creativity, and warmth—ideal for families and anyone seeking a whimsical retreat. The decor is meticulously curated, with whimsical touches that invite exploration and spark joy. Each detail, from the art on the walls to the thoughtfully arranged seating areas, tells a story that makes you feel right at home. A truly special aspect of my visit was the children’s book written by the hotel owner, Johan Elfner, "Monsterstation: Kwart over Mist." This enchanting and inspiring story beautifully enhances the magic of the hotel experience. One of the many standout features of our stay was the breakfast. With freshly baked pastries, a variety of local cheeses, delicious lattes, and perfectly executed eggs, Johan truly enhanced each moment with his presence and homemade pastries.

I really liked the diamond capsule hotel for a nice and comfortable budget stay in Amsterdam. The facilities are quite new and the staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a train station 15 minutes walking and a plaza with restaurants near the university. They have a vending machine and offer umbrella and bike rentals

The hotel is nicely furnished, looks nice and modern. Room was spacious enough and very clean. Beds were very confortable. Breakfast is basic but good, for a budget hotel it is quite ok. No warm food but you can eat well with the cold selection plus the drinks and the sweet options.

    Reasonable cost for parking (anywhere in Europe frankly) is my motivation to look outside of centre of city areas and then use local transport or walk. Parking costs at hotels in our budget in Amsterdam city were very high - secure convenient Q-park station in Amsterveen was E18 per day compared to E40-50 a day at hotels closer to the centre.

    I loved the very name from the start!

    I loved the very name from the start! My first impressions the moment I arrived were positive, the younger lady at the reception gave me useful instructions on how to reach the centre of Amsterdam, which buses and trams to take; helpful with calling the taxi; the choice of food and drinks for the breakfast was vast and abundant, the lady very discrete and kind; other persons at the reception desk also very kind and helpful; I also loved the beautiful and friendly cat waiting for me sleeping in the armchair in front of the hotel, when I arrived late in the evening, giving that "being at home" impression. Really lovely!

    I was basically in Amsterdam.

    I was basically in Amsterdam. The transfer is easy with public transports. The surround area of the Hotel is not nice. There's a empty building in one side very creepy. and in the other side there's a field full of trash and old stuff.

    A lovely wooded place on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

    A lovely wooded place on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Close to the airport so there is a little bit of noise from the planes, but it wasn't bad at all. We enjoyed staying there rather than the busyness of the city centre, and it was cost effective.

    Use public transport where possible as its easy, clean, efficient and good value for money. Would recommend Villa Borghese and Gusto as nice restaurants for an evening out. Stadshart shopping centre has everything you need and with the Amstelveen bus station and tram stop next door you have easy bus or tram rides into the city.

    Insanely quiet for a Saturday afternoon.

    Insanely quiet for a Saturday afternoon. However the people in the pizza place were chatty and smiley none the less. Can imagine it's a lovely little place to visit in the summer when people venture outside to eat on the quaint little terraces. It is very pretty

    Low price but we got a lot benefits. We don't need fancy things, we need comfort and not dodgy. We got good service with friendly personal, 24h. The hotel and the room are clean and they have alle the facilities we need. The location is perfect. The hotel is just next to tram stop Kronenburg which easily brought us to Amsterdam South train station and Amsterdam City Centre. Tried to do tram stop at A.J Ernststraat, 3rd stops from Kronenburg, for visiting Gelderlandplein shopping centre. There are many good restaurants and shops there.

    The room was very large, clean and confortable. The hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast was good. Location is a bit far from Amsterdam but we arrived there by car, so it was ok. There is a tram going from the hotel area (station at 10 min walking distance) to the city (at Zuid metro station) and we bought a 2 days transport pass, so it was convenient.
