The manager mr Ganga was superb in every way. He made our stay comfortable. His staff was well trained n treated guest with warm n politeness. I totally recommend those who wants a quiet and comfortable stay but still close to all amenities to stay here. Furthermore, there is free airport pickup n d driver was very efficient n punctual. The absolute friendliest staff! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. They offered to pick me up from the airport even though it was 11pm which made life a lot easier. Rooms are cosy and have decent beds. Would recommend if looking for a budget stay.

It feels like I'm home with my good old friends. The hotel is situated in the center of Thamel. It is perfect for shopping and for walking around and to find some nice places to eat. The room was very comfortable and the staff were always here to help and assist. This is why I stay at Karma Hotel every time i come to Kathmandu. Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and welcomes guests as their own family.

    On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen money from my poshest. Until that time I had thought that Nepali were honest and diligent. So that I didn’t pay attention to things like having my money stolen on the bus. On the last day the airport was closed because of the strike, so I had to reschedule my ticket and stay in hotel one night more The city is so dusty and lots of rubbish. However, I like the old cultural constructions and festivals.

    You have to say No!

    You have to say No! Everyone wants you to buy from them but they are used to being rejected. There are some people wanting to talk to you, often wanting to show you their workplaces etc so they can lure you in to buy their wares. Conversations always start with Hello sir/madam. Which country are you from? However, lovely people and a lo ely place, full of history and religious beliefs.

    Treekers home provides an excellent accommodation facilities in low cost. Especially, staffs were very helpful and the location of the hotel was also nice. Note: There is a big room to improve the light and bathroom facilities. But it is perfect for those who find low cost hotel in Thamel.

    Why satkar hotel and spa write because of that spa is not available it's very wrong information to people due to all are booking stay with spa facilities is available therefore my suggestion please remove spa word immediately Kathmandu is very good please for visiting

    Mostly stayed in Thamel tourist area and ate at many local spots: House of MoMo, Third Eye, Yok Bar were all great! But careful as some of the menu descriptions can be a little misleading. Ex: I received a 'chicken skewer' meal that was NOTHING like described. It was even missing the skewers. But the staff was extremely helpful and eager to please. The traffic/driving is crazy! Mopeds/motorbikes are high percentage of use, with automobiles being less visible in the high tourist areas. It is REALLY dusty everywhere. Wear a mask or buff if you have allergy/breathing issues. Always carry your own TP if you're not used to using squatty potty's and bidets!

    Thamel is a good location for tourist, shopping and food will totally depend on your choices. Friendly area and lost of money changes and ATM. It's a good place if you like working. Pls ensure that you have a mask as it is a little dusty.

    Perfect location in the heart of Thamel (go thru shortcut between hotels), super fast internet, great breakfast: buffet of various fruits, cornflakes, oats, yogurt etc. and your choice of eggs to be ordered served with toast, pancakes, veggies, jam and butter, taste great! Clean and spacious rooms (we were in 3 different rooms as we were coming back to this hotel 3 times), water, tea/coffee for refeel at any time in the restaurant area. And the best: the kindest people you will ever meet, made us feel like at home.

Amazing top roof restaurant with glass floor, well equipped gym, no time for spa, keeping it for the next trip to Nepal :) Bedroom perfect, nice fresh ground coffee in the tray.Breakfast amazing, day and night view just impressive. Such a quiet hotel right in the middle of Thamel, so impressive. Just loved everything

    It’s a very nice and clean room and you feel like you’re in a 5 star hotel. Srijana let me eat with her family 3 times a day if I wanted to. She is just the best host. You can come as a couple or alone or as a family. It’s cozy and cute and you will definitely feel at home.
