I did the tree top walk and zip line. Excellent experience made even better by excellent staff. Also did the Hokitika gorge. Well worth the extra distance you have to drive. Would definitely recommend the Kaniere WaterRace Walkway. Hokitika is really easy to get around. Nice and clean, Thankyou🌻

Best part is the beach, driftwood is amazing.

Best part is the beach, driftwood is amazing. It's often wet so take suitable clothing and maybe gumboots. Stumpers is a great place to eat . Shops don't seem to be open on a Sunday which was disappointing.

We stayed in Chief Henshaw 3 bdrm apartment.

We stayed in Chief Henshaw 3 bdrm apartment. There was 5 of us so little compact! Although it was for 1 night only so suited our needs. The place is beautifully appointed and ideally located within walking distance of good eating and the beach.

Loved the beach, the scenery around, the lakes and waterfalls being close. Lots to do. Loved the galleries too. Very friendly people. Please reopen the museum. It was a great place to visit even if it was raining at times.

Lovely sitting at the beach bar on sun set, cold beer...

Lovely sitting at the beach bar on sun set, cold beer watching the rabbits graze. Had a nice dinner and stay at Stumpers. Early morning rise and breakfast at a cafe, stroll around town then saw the Kiwis and fed the eels at the National Kiwi Centre. Beautiful little town

Lovely place to visit. Central for west coast adventures.

Lovely place to visit. Central for west coast adventures. We took day trips from our accomodation to things like Punakaiki and Greymouth. Downside we found not many food options to choose from in town itself and gas prices were fairly high.

A very comfortable place and with a great view to the beach and the sea. We have been 4 people and have booked two bedrooms. Everything was very clean and with a nice look. We did not had dinner and breakfast in the hotel but close by. Which is recommended. Parking is in front of the hotel.

Great location, walking distance to anything you need to go to...beach, restaurants, supermarket, shops and bar. Lots of choice of restaurants. We had a yummy meal at the hotels restaurants, and the waitress we had was excellent. We would stay there again, we love visiting Hokitika.

Super modern holiday park, spotlessly clean. The facilities were great, it's a quiet and private area. The cabins are spacious. The toilet block is spacious and super clean. The kitchen block is well equipped with everything needed to make a quick meal. The staff were super lovely.

This is one of our favourite Motels. Very friendly and helpful owners, spacious, well furnished and equipped modern accommodation, well cared for, with a fresh feel to it. We have been twice so far and are likely to use Stopforths Motel again when returning to Hokitika.
