The view is incredible! Walking distance to town for restaurants and shopping. I was worried at first that it might be a steep climb to town every day but it was so gradual, I didn't even notice it.

    Great if you like panoramic harbour views and commercial dockside activity. Lyttleton is a steeply sloping precinct so not good for easy walking. Limited, small suburban shopping facilities. Many old buildings in disrepair. For all this Lyttleton has a certain charm to do with it's seaport life.
