Lovely and relaxing place to stay. We were warmly welcomed into a space that is comfortable and spacious. What I particularly liked was that there was attention given to details which may seem minor, but really do make a difference. Things such as having soft and fluffy towels, hot drink packets topped up daily, bathroom amenities and so forth. It is really convenient to the rest of the town, and is a great base for exploring the Catlins as the drive to various destinations is not too far and Owaka has a number of places to eat at. Definitely book in here!

Our cabin, Kaku, surrounded by trees and birdlife, overlooked rolling green fields dotted with sheep and the surrounding hills. It was so peaceful. Within 2 minutes walk were magical forest paths lined with magnificent tree ferns, crown ferns and undisturbed vegetation. The cabin was beautifully decorated, and contained books on the area, games, a well equipped small kitchen with a barbecue on the balcony. The old house on the estate was built in the 1920s and creates a feeling of timelessness. The owners helpfully supplied local history and tourist information and were so welcoming. We would have happily stayed longer in this unique oasis of tranquility and nature and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates these special qualities.

Once the power came back on all was good. I had camping gear to make a cuppa. It was a cold night. Lovely unit. Not very sound proof. Had everything I needed. Comfortable bed. Thank you

we loved this little camp. clean cabins, nice kitchen and lounge, and best of all, it adjoins to a beautiful beach with sea lions! Owners are very enthused and helpful. wish we could have stayed longer!
