A wonderfully secluded, well-appointed 'hut' with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. The sunset views from the bath were fabulous (and enjoying the outdoor bath is an absolute must!), comfy bed, good shower with nice toiletries. Walking by the river and around the farm was lovely. Everything was amazing! Carolyn was incredibly friendly and kind, super helpful and was always quick to respond to any questions. The home itself was fantastic - charming, cosy, and functional with exceptional views (from so many rooms!). The property gardens were beautiful and the outdoor areas were absolutely perfect - there was lots of rain/wind on the days we were there but the outdoor areas were so great it didn't hinder our stay at all! (Well protected from elements, stunning views and comfy chairs!) Fireplace was amazing and Carolyn provided plenty of firewood for us. Great location as well- only 15mins from the waitomo caves/restaurants etc. yet we still had beautiful privacy up in the mountains! Overall we loved every part! Location, views, charm, and super comfy beds!! Great stay for couples, friends, families, holidays and little getaways! Carolyn was an exceptional host and the home was fantastic - we will definitely be back!

We booked a room for 1 night here and the stay was fabulous. Our hosts were delightful and we felt at home here. The room comes with an ensuite bathroom and had a side entrance towards the parking lots. Breakfast was provided (you had to indicate interest the evening before) and you are bound to be full after breakfast! The experience felt like us returning home to visit our grans, leaving us stomached full and hearts warm. P.S there is also a chonky cat residing here!!!

Go feed the lambs, play tennis, do your laundry, use the cleanest and most spacious kitchen to bake pizza and bread (no joke, we did that as they have everything, even cheese knives!). Don’t just stay for the caves, stay a little longer as it’s such a lovely, calming place!
