Really enjoyed the traditional casita style with the bonus of having hot water which is a rarity for Bocas. The views were amazing from the property! Also loved being able to swim nearby and the outdoor foot wash was awesome for minimizing sand on the deck.

This place is so idyllic. True island character. Simple yet quality. A sense of style in many touches.Best beds! And sheets were cotton! Or at least 50%. Beautifully situated on the shore. Staff so friendly and warm and helpful. Enjoyed the tranquility, remote feeling, and the walk to Playa Estrella.

We loved Gia! She is so accommodating. She made us feel at home. We felt very safe walking around Almirante so the gated property for us and our rental car just added to that comfort. Also, Gia let us park our car in her gated property, for a small fee, for 3 days while we were in Bocas. The Gia location is close to Fresh Fruit, markets, bank and a great restaurant. Also, Gia contacted me by WhatsApp the day of our reservation. She gave us directions to and pictures of her property. Also confirming our arrival time. Gia made our lives easy.

Friendly staff and comfortable apartment. I was stranded in Almirante because of political protests and she allowed me to check in early. She was very accommodating and also very helpful. Gia also spoke excellent English. I also felt it was secure in a port town where security is not good

Every time that I go now the town in a certain way it's...

Every time that I go now the town in a certain way it's getting a little bit more indigenous if I can say so, so let me explain. In the past probably 8-10 years or so, the government is assigning property to the Cunas, that are the indigenous people of Panama, because at a certain point, they took it from them, so now Changinola is basically one of the areas where indigenous peoples are being "relocated". With that said, it's not a place that you're going to find a lot of museums or art or regular cultural activities nor a lot of things like that, but you can find places with great food options. It's more countryside area, from were you cam commute to other places like Bocas or close by áreas.
