Great city for a long weekend. Plenty to see.

Great city for a long weekend. Plenty to see. Good to have done a bit of homework to proritise your visits. Certain things are time specific. Best to explore on foot so comfortable shoes. Horse drawn carriages and electric vehicle tours are heavily promoted but dont seem to give much info. Going out for breakfast seems a big thing, a lots of accommodation is appartement style, but it was hard to get just a coffee and croissant unless you found a bakery with attached cafe. There are some and they were great but peak time is between 9.30 and 10.30 and hard to get a table without queueing. Similarly restaurants at both lunch and dinner the peak hours are very busy and if you definitely want to eat in a certain place its advisable to book. We ate a lot of great food both traditional peasant dishes and very fancy variations of it without paying exhorbitant prices. Everyone we met was charming and hospitable and spoke some English so we did not find things difficult. The train service is easy, efficient and clean. A good way to get around. Easiest to use the platform ticket machines with a credit card.

Well worth a visit so much to see and do esp in the old town and everything was within a tram ride from our hotel, Will deffo be going back again in the near future. And only 2 1/2 hrs on a plane from the uk and the price we paid £180 for 2 people for 5 days on the plane. Check out the cat cafe in Krakow as well well worth a visit if you like animals and cats.

Very beautiful square but can be busy and a little noisy during the early hours. As a city I was surprised by the amount of graffiti, but I suppose that’s common in many large cities. Pick pockets operating amongst crowds so beware of your belongings. People very friendly.

The streets of the city are very clean, there is no messy and the noise is low. Krakow is a quiet city and safe to walk in the nights. The traffic is controlled and the drivers are respectful. The city is very classic, one place I would recommend to spend free time at nigths is the main square centre. People look serious and don't look so much friendly but I understand that because someone should stay more time to make friends, I respect their culture.

Krakow is a beautiful city and what I was surprised by was that it is soooo lively. People go out in the evening for a drink, the streets are packed and so are some of the bars etc. The same for weekend's mornings - if you plan to have a breakfast at some of the recommended places, chances are you will wait in a queue :)

    Lovely city with fascinating history.

Lovely city with fascinating history. Excellent food and vodka! The Kazimierz district has a wonderful atmosphere and the Schindler factory and memorial to the Jewish ghetto were very interesting and evocative. Krakow is very walkable, although the tours in the "golf carts" are very informative and good if you want to rest the legs a bit. The evening vodka tour was great but do not inhale the 70% alcohol moonshine, or you will be coughing for days!

My stay at the sky hotel was amazing. From the minute I checked in to checking out, hotel staff were so kind and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is spotless, no marks or dirt. Room was lovely, very comfortable, clean and modern. Location is excellent, the hotel is right in the centre and literally minutes from the old town and sights. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to krakow. Stunning/amazing hotel!

Amazing vegan concept hotel just outside of krakow old town. About 15 minutes leisurely walk to centre. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. Plenty of facilities to use. Towels and basic toiletries provided. Great coffee and vegan snacks available to buy. Amazing plant based bakery just next door. We’d love to stay again! Special thanks to Sylvia who was so lovely to us during our stay.
