My favourite hotel along Portugal’s west coast. The rooms are great and very comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the garden and warm pool. Such a peaceful place. Breakfast is prepared and served with lots of love and fresh ingredients, partially from their own garden. Short walk to the beach, numerous viewpoints and restaurants.

We loved the week we spent at Casa Ingrina at the beautiful Costa Vicentina! It’s a corner house in a row of town houses, next to the dunes that lead to Bordeira Beach. New, nicely furnished and decorated, great kitchen, beautiful bathroom with high ceiling, parking underneath the houses. Bruno made sure that everything worked and Sandra was also very helpful, the house was sparkling clean when we arrived.

    We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't spend any time in the town of Carrapateira itself. But the next morning, we really enjoyed the various hiking trails and scenic overview spots accessible from Carrapateira via the perimeter road (E. da Praia), which starts with great views of and trails to Praia da Bordeira and then winds along the coast's edge for about 10 km. Great views and trails.

    Nice little town, small grocery store that had better than expected selection and good prices. Municipal market that’s open every day. One vender who sells his local produce. Everything else can be bought in Vila do Bispo. Walking distance to the fantastic coast.

    Bordeira is one of the top beach in the world. We are coming to this region since 40 years and we have never enough . Sitio do forno is a simply spectacular position. Excellent basic Portuguese food

    It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love...

    It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love that this IS NOT hot touristic spot. Yes, you'll find find restaurants in and around, wide beach with small bar on it. But in the nigth there is only sound of wind and ocean, and that what we need on holidays!

    Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful. Easy to get around and there are some reasonable basic services available such as guesthouses, restaurants. I didn’t see a gas station, ATM or grocery market so plan to stop elsewhere for those.

    Very cute small village in the middle of paradise.

    Very cute small village in the middle of paradise. Super spot for hikers and nature lovers. There is a minimarket and some restaurants open even in out of season times. When I am back to Algarve, I am definitely coming to Carrapateira again.

    Estela at Casa da Estela is a warm, inviting host. She gave us a little glass of homemade port. She has all kinds of teas, coffee, homemade yogurt, muesli, oats, homemade cake, cookies, honey from Carrapateira, whole milk, juices. Room is small but cozy and has a homey feel. Clothesline, washing machine, heater in room, and terrace with chairs and small table provided.

    Beautiful hotel with lots of attention to detail. Lovely helpful staff especially Tiago. Perfect if you would like a quiet retreat in a rural setting. There are some delightful little cafes & restaurants nearby ( short walk but with hill). The beaches a short drive away are stunning & great surf.

    Wow what a hostel! For sure the best hostel I‘ve ever stayed at! The beds were amazing, big washrooms, beautiful kitchen and roof top and lovely staff. I would love to come back to Carrapateira just to stay at this Hostel again!!
