FranceWe had a wonderful three-day stay at this modern hotel next to the city-center. The room was very nice, with a spacious, well-designed bathroom and beach towels were also provided! A real highlight was the rooftop terrace with sun loungers and tables available to all guests – the perfect spot to enjoy the bottle of white wine that was waiting for us in the room as a welcome gift!
The reception was very warm and welcoming - thank you for that! We also had the pleasure of briefly meeting the owner of the hotel, which was a lovely and enriching experience. Such a kind and inspiring person! We’d be happy to come back!

PortugalThe Hotel is good clean, everything was perfect but I was trying to booking for 9th of September and it was calendar mistake booked for 9 th October, and in 5 minute after booking I call to the Hotel to asked what to do they suggested that cancel and book for 9 th September no worries and when I come to Hotels I pay for September and already took money for oct what I cancel 5 minute after the booking and staff say they can’t do anything Booking.com is the responsibility, I’m sad because I could talk about that before cancel if they not suggest me for cancel and book again hope I will get money back if not money goes by my card 2 time for one night 😒☹️☹️☹️☹️

Lovely old town with intact walls.
Lovely old town with intact walls. Not crazy busy like other destinations but we were there in October. In general prices are OK but not cheap. Faro is compact enough to see in 2 days. The old town is lovely and will be better when the derelict buildings are renovated . Restaurant is good. We liked O Castelo , the food was excellent, service first class and the Fado singers and players added to the lovely atmosphere . Avoid the little tourist train. It was very uncomfortable/ bumpy. Faro is a beautiful place with friendly people. Its small enough to walk around and has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. The marina and ferry trips are fantastic with a trip to the Praia de Faro beach being a must! We loved Faro.
We loved Faro. Great place to explore, lovely restaurants, Dois Irmaos was particularly goo for seafood and typical Portuguese dishes. We went on a boat trip with Formosamar which was brilliant. We went to a deserted island then to Culatra island where you could swim or eat and drink at a place overlooking the ocean. You can also go bird and dolphin watching. It's very easy to walk around Faro, buses and trains are easily accessible to explore the area.
