The location was perfect for us.
The location was perfect for us. Breakfast was worth the price. Had a restaurant if you needed a hot meal on the premises. Close to an Aldi as well as a coin laundromat.
We walked to all the places we visited like Aljustrel and places where the children of Fatima lived.

Ate in various Resturants near the hotel.
yes, took a train ride to see the place / house where Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta lived.
Everything was walking distance.

The main things to do in Fatima are gong to the Shrine and Stations of the Cross walking path. The Shrine holds a Pilgrim's Rosary every night at 9pm which is very impressive, hundreds if not thousands attend this candlelight service. The walking path is beautiful and a great outdoor experience also nearby. Very interesting even if one is not religious, but definitely inspiring for those who are.

It is supposed to be a religious shrine, but the religious feel is ruined by tacky gift shops and noise in the basilica.
The chapels in the church of the Holy Trinity provide a good space for private contemplation.
Strongly recommended the Museu de Cera and the walk down the Via Sacra through the Olive groves to Aljustrel where you can see the cottages where the children Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta lived.
Fátima is also a good place to stay to visit Batalha, Ourém, Tomar or Coimbra.

my favourite spots are the sanctuario; anjustrel;
i ate at a few restuarants while there.
fatima you do quite a lot of walking but thee are neighbouring villages and towns like santarem; you can hire a car and drive there

We had our room upgraded to another hotel close by, so this review is actually to Lux Fatima Park. The room was excellent and very confortable. More than I expected from what I have booked. We couldn't use the perks of this 4 stars upgraded hotel though because of lack of time.

The location was great as it was next to the Fatima Shrine and balcony in our room faced the Shrine too. Room and hotel was clean. Breakfast was good, though not a big spread but just enough to get you started for the day. Spent one night at the hotel.
