fantastic hotel. our room was overlooking the wineyard, clean, cozy & well thought-of. The staff is very friendly & welcoming, the food was amazing. Great amenities (indoor pool, jacuzzi, game-room with table-tennis & pool).

The hotel is very chic and has a relaxing vibe. I had a great time here and the stuff was very friendly. I recommend this place. The location is in a small village where there are two more restaurants / bars and you can also eat at the hostel restaurant. The breakfast is basic, but there are good fresh fruits which I really liked, it would be great if they could add some more vegan options You can reach the village with bus or by taxi, in case you do not have a car. The pool is nice and you can enjoy it after a hike in the area.

they have a buffet style restaurant. it was very yammy to me. As a hiker, this kind of restaurant is super lovely. hikers wanna load full in their stomach after a long hiking, right? Also they have a laundry service, which was very nice and done very shortly(3hrs). Reception desk is also 24hrs, I got here very late night and they welcomed me. good place. steak on menu was very nice. try it.

    Ponta Delgada is a quiet and beautiful place. From here you can easily travel in all directions of this beautifull island by car. Access to the Atlantic Ocean is rare. If there is an access, it is almost always rocky - you should be sure-footed here. There are hardly any sandy beaches, we didn't find any. During the season there is a small public swimming pool in Ponta Delgada.

    Beautiful unspoilt village with a great pool by the sea that is popular with locals. Lots of lovely walks and amazing scenery as the mountains comes down into the ocean. Good roads to drive here as you come through the tunnels so 35 mins to Funchal and 10 mins to Sao Vicente.

    This booking is a blessing. The hotel - sitting on a hill facing the ocean, surrounded by greenery mountains, in a quiet town away from the crowds - is exactly what you are looking for if you’re running away from noisy cities. Most importantly you will be greeted by the greatest host, Paulo. I had hiccups at the beginning of my trip, but, and with his beautiful soul, he brightened it up. He will make sure that you have a comfortable stay and incredible journey with his recommendations. I can’t recommend this place enough.

    Good location, easy access from all the island. Lovely and helpful staff. Kitchen and all house fully equipped. Even the first aid kit. Very comfortable bed, clean apartment. Next to the hotel there is a shop with groceries and a coffee place

    What we really enjoyed was swiming pool. The outside one is amazing and it will be reason to stay again in the hotel if we come again to Maira. Also personal was great. lady at reception desk was so helpful and friendly.
