The room was very quiet, spacious and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and the Staff were very nice and helpful. Also they provide a map of Porto and add personalized local recommendations. There was a garden where they served happy hour cocktails but we missed it because we were in town. The location is 6 mins away from the closest subway stop or 20 mins away from the city center by walking. We didn't get the breakfast option because there were plenty of alternatives in the city center at a cheaper price.

A new hotel in a great location, walking distance from the city centre and the main attractions. The area around felt safe. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was really good, highly recommend having breakfast in the hotel - they even had mini pasteis de nata. The room was spacious and clean. And there is also a nice rooftop bar/terrace with a small swimming pool. We only went to check the view as it was quite cold outside during our stay. In summer it would be lovely to spend a few hours there, especially at sunset.

    Unbelievably charming city.

    Unbelievably charming city. River, history, wine valleys, and modernity all in one town/region. Lots to do and a great launching point. Not for the faint of heart for exploring on foot....lots of hills and steps. Physically disabled persons will need assistance getting around.

    We loved Porto, so beautiful and so lively.

    We loved Porto, so beautiful and so lively. It seemed to be a nice mix of locals, university students and tourists. The historic area is pretty compact and it is easy to get to all of the sites. The public transportation system was clean and reliable. We took the number 500 bus all the way out to the fish market and beaches in Matosinhos. On the way back it is pretty easy to get a seat on the upper deck and get a great view of the city. Skip the touristy Linha 1 tram.

    It was easy to navigate & walk around.

    It was easy to navigate & walk around. We loved both sides of the river & the cafes / restaurants along both sides. The views & the old buildings/ rooftops were beautiful from the many elevated roads & pathways & steps. It was very busy but queues went down quickly. The climate was perfect & such a treat sitting out in the sunshine into early evening. The main station was very easy to use & get trains to other towns/cities & so cheap.

    We booked the apartment for the week . What a beautiful charming city. Great for foodies - so much choice. Very clean - good transport links . We had booked a 2 day trip to Pinhao - Duoro Valley prior to arrival -easy to book train tickets on arrival - what a beautiful train journey stunning scenery and fabulous stay in Pinhao . Porto train station - wow - with fabulous food market next door - great place to eat. Full of charm - fallen in love with this beautiful place - could use a base to travel to other places . Will be back .

    Great little boutique hotel within old-town Porto, Portugal, convenient to many of Porto's must see charms. We were offered an unexpected junior suite upgrade upon arrival. The king bed was very comfortable, along with the robes / slippers. The artsy room decor was upbeat and inviting. The morning full breakfast buffet was delicious, as well as the expresso and coffee lattes we enjoyed on a daily basis. Very friendly professional staff, especially the helpful personalized attention received from hotel management.

    GA Palace felt like a luxurious home away from home - which makes sense, since the owner lives there and obviously takes great care and pride in his Palazzo. As it was my birthday we were upgraded to a beautiful suite, one of the nicest and most spacious hotel rooms we have stayed in. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious and varied, the room lovely and comfortable, and the pool relaxing and much appreciated after a hectic 10 days in Portugal.     What a place to stay in! It's probably the best hotel I have stayed in Portugal, if we take into account the cost-benefit ratio. Every aspect in this hotel was excellent: the employees service and courtesy, the state of the art rooms, the wifi reception (the best I have experienced for years), the rich and varied breakfast, and its main location in the city. I will certainly recommend this lovely hotel for all of my acquaintances. 10/10
