We had a delightful experience; all the staff were thoughtful and helpful. We especially enjoyed the host. He was kind and attentive to be sure we were happy and enjoying our time there. Being right on the beach was lovely. The room included two beach chairs and an umbrella, and we stayed on the beach all day.

It was just great, Paulo was very welcoming and made an early checkin possible. The apartment is brand new and equipped with everything you need. Place to sit outside, dry clothes, a coffee and tea maker. Even some snacks were provided. Everything is sparkling clean, the bed was super comfy. Shower is spacious, enough places to put things, Very well though through apartment and tasteful. 100% recommended.

Jo was amazing and very attentive. Lots of space great deck and bonus dryer. Easy access to everything. Arrived during national power outage and Jo was waiting outside as we had no internet. Nice tub for soak after hikes.

Great location and outside space. We had one day when it didn't stop raining but the house was comfortable inside and plenty of room for the 2 of us. Good kitchen facilities, washing machine onsite. Plenty of seats in the garden to chill out. Parking was just down the road and some great restaurants were only a couple of minutes walk away. Very quiet at night.

The tippy tent was clean and comfortable. The night we stayed in was raining, lightning and thunder all night long. Our tent survived it all, we were positively surprised about it. Although there are quite a few people staying there and it might feel chaotic, to me it seemed that everyone was respectful towards the rules of the place.

    I loved this little relaxing fishing village!

    I loved this little relaxing fishing village! The locals were soo friendly and nice I especially loved all the beautiful food in the gorgeous restaurants!! The quaint little cocktail bar run by Sean and his wife was the best Chatting with locals and some people who had moved from other countries to settle their was.so interesting! I will definitely be back next year!

    This is one of the few locations we visited that tourism did...

    This is one of the few locations we visited that tourism did not over run the location. The beach was spacious and free of commercialism. There were very good restaurants in the small town. The town is very hilly so you must be able to climb up from the beach. There are gated condos in the area but they are set back from the village and thus do not dominate the location. Parking is plentiful and free so people who are disorientated after a long travel will find the location easy to get around. There is a large hypermarche store located in the town of Budens which is a 10 minute drive from Salema town center so you can get many specialty items if the local grocery is not sufficient to your needs. The scenery is spectacular especially at sunset from the cliffs lining the beach. I recall reading a tourist book that claimed that Salema was one of the few towns in the Algarve that resembles what the region looked like before the wave of tourism came. I would heartily agree.

    We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of good...

    We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of good restaurants. The beach was large and clean. It’s very easy to walk the whole town albeit there are some steep hills. The people were very friendly. We enjoyed hiking to the more remote beaches. We will highly recommend it to our friends.

    Salema eco camp is a wonderful place with people of lots of nationalities enjoying the lovely peaceful surroundings. It is in wooded valley with lots of trees providing shade. The restaurant and shop are great and all the staff were encountered were realiy friendly and helpful. We stayed in a lodge which was very comfortable and well equipped. It is about a 20 min walk to the beach but the camp provides a free minibus there and back. Would love to come back!

    Salema is a lovely unspoilt village with a beautiful beach, several good restaurants, and a few shops. It is surrounded by natural beauty, wonderful hiking trails and convenient access to Sagres and the Atlantic coast.

    Great old house with lots of vintage character! The location is great, up on the hill with a great view. Garden and pool are nice. Lots of space in the living room/dining area. Great communication with the host. Parking available. Good WIFI. Quite at night. Just a 10 minute walk to the beach (very steep, so you have to be fit). Salema ist great. Nothing to complain about, we enjoyed the time here a lot and will be back.

    Everything was perfect! The view is stunning, with a small balcony where you can enjoy breakfast while looking out at the ocean. The apartment is just a 3-minute walk to the beach and close to everything (shops, restaurants). Communication with the house manager was super helpful – he responded immediately to my inquiries, which was really impressive. I actually ended up extending my stay. Highly recommend!

    This beautiful property is steps away from the beautiful, uncrowded, beach. Salema is less "touristy" than some other Algarve towns - fishermen still work on its beach. Several good restaurants in the immediate area. Case Praia Mar is a modern building in superb condition, big comfortable rooms with kitchenette. Beautiful view across the pool to the beach.
