Every detail has been thought about from the guest perspective. it felt like an escape and home at the same time. The staff are ALL warm and welcoming, they know and remember your name and are always eager to share their experiences and knowledge about the island and the Azores in general. The facilities are perfect (sauna, pool, steam room, yoga studio, gym....) and well maintained. The rooms are perfect comfortable little cocoons. The shower has great pressure and temperature control, the beds are some of the most comfortable I have had in a hotel and the view takes your breath away every morning. Breakfast was fresh every morning and the variety was great. Choices changed everyday which made it enjoyable, as we stayed for almost a week. Coffee (GOOD COFFEE), tea and fresh water are always available.

Everything. A wonderful room at Casa do Gubernador. The fort's incredible setting. The most comfortable accommodation I had on Terceira. A successful combination of modernity and history. Amazing service, location and rooms. Exceeded our expectations, given the other 4 star hotels in the other islands. A special mention to Ruben at the front desk and Inĕs of the breakfast staff. The first welcomed us warmly and quickly gave us all the information, the second made our breakfasts great, making us start the morning with a big and friendly smile. Definitely recommend to any Açores traveler. Just one suggestion: add something under the bathroom sink to hide the pipes and set one's toiletries.
