Constanta is a town of historic interest, situated along a coastal route once contested by Greeks and Romans ( there is a wonderful open exhibition, with many pieces from archeological finds, in the town park ( off Tomis Strada ) ...along with information of the Greek fortress that once guarded the port). The historic town square is an airy spot to enjoy the sea-breeze and enjoy al-fresco dining outside any of the many quality brasseries and bars. Boring city compared to 10 years ago. Clubs have disappeared, Taxi`s still trying to cheat you. Mamaia in regress. Water quality on the beaches still dodgy.Food,prices and service questionable. Cafe Do Brazil, Playa Modern and area around the old town(Tomis Sud) the only exceptions. Left the city for Varna, Bulgaria and never regretted the moveGuest review bybjoernNorway
