The only reason why I know about Trstenik is because...
The only reason why I know about Trstenik is because Ljubostinja Monastery is 4km away from the town. The monastery is a jewel of Serbian medieval architecture! Built by Empress Militsa in 14th century (she is burried there as well), it is worth visiting even if you had to sleep on a bench outside. Luckily you don’t have to.
