The lakeside location was idyllic
The lakeside location was idyllic We travelled to the accommodation on a short snowmobile ride through the forest. The northern lights were visible for two nights of our short stay. Jokkmokk is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lakes, rolling hills, forest. You sometimes pass reindeer on the roads. I was there to participate in a long ski race and everyone I met in Jokkmokk was keen to help.Guest review byGerardUnited Kingdom

The hosts were lovely, kind and so helpful. The house was spacious, though for five adults it would be too crowded. It didn't take long to heat the place as there was plenty of firewood but we had to go looking for where this was kept. A guide describing such necessities would be great. Heating solely by wood burning stove may sound romantic but in winter (October - May) has to be kept going continually. The cabin was light and well ventilated.Guest review byAndreasGermany

About 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of town and it's 2 supermarkets. The house was very warm and cozy, and the view from the lounge, dining room, kitchen, and 1 bedroom over the lakeside was amazing.
