The hotel is in the center of town, a 5 minute walk to the train station. Public parking is next to the hotel; after 6 pm it is free until 9 am. Coming from South East England, Växjö seemed, very, very, very quiet. Quieter than a Sunday during the first lockdown in England. It was not unusual to see no cars on a main road. Växjö and Sweden as a whole is very well organised. Hardly any litter, no graffiti, everyone very polite. Most people spoke English and were eager to help if we needed help. The bus service is excellent, the timetables are accurate to the minute. If you like peace and quiet it's a good place to go. Excellent location, staff very helpful, the room and bed were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were adequate and enjoyable. The afternoon free fika was a bonus; the free coffee and tea at reception 24/7 was a nice touch. Their sauna was under renovation and they kindly arranged the use of a nearby gym sauna. Sadly, we are travelling through Sweden and unlikely we will return to Vaxjo but if we did we would not hesitate to stay there.Guest review byGraemeAustralia
