Good location, clean facilities, friendly staff. The male staff in charge of my check-in and check-out was very kind and explained well, so I was very satisfied. Also the concierge staff who took care of my carrier was really nice. Even after checking out, I was scheduled to leave the country 14 hours later, but it was very comfortable and nice to use the shower facility.

When I first saw the pictures of the hotel online, I immediately knew that I wanted to stay there during my visit to SG because it looked so magical. When I actually saw it for the first time, I was mesmerized by their beauty and size, and how nature-friendly they are. They definitely stand out from the surroundings. The staff was friendly, especially Judy from the front desk who checked us in. She made sure to maintain eye contact with me and kept smiling throughout the entire process. It was nice of them to offer us an early check in as well. The hotel prepared a really sweet surprise for us on our anniversary trip. When we walked into the room, there was a handwritten card from Mary. It was incredibly thoughtful of them to arrange a surprise, and I'm grateful for everything they did to help us cherish the wonderful memories from this trip! The location is very convenient, in Chinatown near Clarke Quay, all within walking distance. I definitely recommend this hotel to other guests, and I'm sad that my stay was so short. If i have a chance to visit SG again, I want to stay there again.

Room was ideally located 1932 and we could view the Independence Firework right from our balcony. Restaurant variety was excellent. My friend and I had the most incredible stay at The Barracks Hotel in Sentosa, and it was hands down the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like absolute royalty. The staff were not only professional but also warm, accommodating, and always attentive to our every need. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel special, creating an experience that was personal and unforgettable. One of the standout features of our stay was the level of interaction with the staff. They were so knowledgeable, offering fascinating insights and suggestions for things to do on the island. Every question we asked was met with enthusiasm, and their recommendations for tours and activities made our time in Sentosa even more enjoyable. It was clear they were genuinely invested in ensuring we had the best experience possible. The food at The Barracks was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast spreads, as well as the amazing happy hour, which was a real treat after a day of exploring. Every meal was satisfying and packed with flavor, adding another layer of luxury to our stay. A special mention goes to the team for the incredible surprise they organized for my 40th birthday. I was completely blown away when they surprised me with a beautiful cake and a bouquet of flowers, making the celebration even more memorable. Their thoughtful gesture made the occasion so much more meaningful, and it’s something I’ll always cherish.

FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, while maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is cheap and delicious dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city center. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo providing the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodations ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

Singapore is always a great destination for us for a short...

Singapore is always a great destination for us for a short stay and we come through quite often mostly during transit to other countries . Changi is one of our favorite airports with easy access to City. Taxi service is exceptionally good and people in general are always warm and friendly. Shoppers Paradise though this time I felt prices were a bit steep.

Singapore is beautiful, clean and most of all very safe.

Singapore is beautiful, clean and most of all very safe. The cuisine is good and diverse with western, Singaporean, chinese, indian and Malaysian. Travellers will be spoilt for choice. This applies to the shopping malls too. I ate at Skai Restaurant, floor 70 at the Swissotel, the view was just amazing. Other restaursnts include the Masses at the Capitol, Chaijms opposite the Carlton hotel. It is easy to get around either in taxis or Grab, the equivalent of Uber. The buses and metro also run quite well, I was told but didn't get to go on them. Places I visited include the Marina Bay, Chinatown, Little India. There is a bus sightseeing and boat cruises.

It seems a lot of people see Singapore as a transit stopover...

It seems a lot of people see Singapore as a transit stopover but it is so much more than that. There are so many attractions for the tourists and it is so easy, and cheap, to get around on the world leading MRT system. We can't speak highly enough about the MRT. No tickets required, just a credit card. No timetable required as a train arrives every 6 mines (or less). No maps required as the stations and trains have easy to understand directions and no rideshare or taxi required as the MRT will get you within walking distance of almost everywhere in Singapore, even the airport. The only exception we found was the Zoo, which required a cheap and convenient shuttle bus from the MRT station to the Zoo (and back). It does help to put a link to MRT journey Planner on your phone as it's the best way to work out the fastest way to get to your destination and it will show the station stops and interchanges you may need to make. We filled our 9 night stay with so many activities, including Sentosa Island, the Mandai Wildlife Reserve (with 4 fantastic wildlife parks), Gardens by the Bay, the Botanical Gardens (including the Orchid Garden), East Coast Park (10kms of beach and park), Singapore River (including Clarke and Boat Quays and the Merlion), Fort Canning, Bugis, Kampong Glam, China Town, endless shopping and many wonder food centres. Make Singapore your destination, not just a stopover.

Always re-inventing itself. Bar and restaurant scene keeps changing rapidly, you always find sth new & innovative. Quality of food is excellent and super-international. Singapore is this healthy, clean and safe mix of tradition and cutting-edge 21st century technology. You never freeze, except in the aircon :-) The beach is near, if you´re up for it.

Booking.com gave me a good deal where a free upgrade was included. After that the Hotel gave me the option to further upgrade the room at a nominal charge. That made all the difference. Good sized room with all the amenities. Comfortable bed. Personalised check-in and check-out unlike several business hotels in Singapore where you have to do everything yourself.

Location was fine, Singapore is pretty easy to get around anyway. The good thing about this hotel was the washroom was actually separate and not just a frosted pane or a see-through window. Honestly, so many hotels in Singapore had that weird design, really not great for platonic groups of travellers, so M Hotel takes the cake here.

The room was very spacious, which sets it apart from some other hotels in Singapore. The beds were large and comfortable, but we were provided twin beds, rather than a double - this was a little disappointing. The breakfast was reasonable and generous, but certainly not 'fabulous', by comparison to other hotels.
