Transport is great however if you are paying for cable cars it can get expensive but simillary you will pay the price in different countries. My 3rd time in High Tatra' and decided to stay for a month this time and loving it! Too many peeks to climb 😉. Very well marked trails with beautiful nature. Plenty of high peeks to climb although for some certified guide is required. And don't be fooled that the highest peeks are not as high as in the alps...it is very hard work and training is required to be able to climb them. If you are into challenging hiking this is the place to be.
If you are into challenging hiking this is the place to be. There is skiing in winter, but we were there in summer and loved it. Be prepared for the language barrier: English is not much understood, probably better if you speak German.
