I had the pleasure of staying at Nicky's Handlebar with my partner, and it was an experience we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with such kindness and genuine care. They were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. After an unpleasant experience in the center of Phuket, the staff welcomed us back to the hotel with so much warmth and compassion. They took care of me in a way that made me feel safe and comforted, and I cannot thank them enough for their exceptional hospitality. The room we stayed in was fantastic—clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with a lovely balcony where we could relax. The housekeeping team deserves a special mention for their impeccable work; our room was always spotless and refreshed. I wholeheartedly recommend Nicky's Handlebar to anyone visiting Phuket. The hotel location was perfect for me.

The hotel location was perfect for me. Beach, cafe, convenient store and local shops are just across the street. We love the pool. Staffs were amazing-prepared my daughter’s bed that made memorable on her birthday. The only thing that disappoint me was the bed, not soft and comfy for someone with back problems. Rooms weren’t sound proof. Can hear the noise of other guests and banging of doors. They should include sweeping / mopping the room everyday.

I personally didn't like Patong Beach, neither the beach...

I personally didn't like Patong Beach, neither the beach itself (very average), nor the town, actually especially I didn't like the town, too many massage parlours with women trying to lure you in all the time, too many people asking you if you are interested in beach activities, etc., too many cannabis shops, too many (expensive) restaurants with staff members on the pavement harassing you trying to convince you to have a meal there. Definitely choosing to stay at Patong Beachit was a wrong choice for me, luckily my hotel reservation was only for 2x nights. Never again!

Patong is a nightlife hub, with Bangla Road offering endless bars, clubs, and restaurants. If you enjoy partying, this is the place to be, but it can get noisy and overwhelming. For shopping, you’ll find everything from local markets to malls like Jungceylon, but be prepared for slightly higher prices compared to other parts of Phuket. Accommodation ranges from budget hostels to luxury resorts, and it's best to book in advance during peak times. Overall, Patong Beach is great for those looking for action, but it may not be ideal if you're after a quiet, peaceful retreat.

There are lots of stalls for bargain hunters, heaps of food options and of course a variety of nightlife spots to keep you entertained. Choose your timing, if you want to avoid crowds then don't go in the evening. You can book all your tours at one of the many outlets. And you'll find the best exchange rates at the currency exchange booths. Be prepared for people to be constantly trying to get your attention for goods and services. I'd recommend doing at least one island tour, go to Old Phuket Town and treat the elephants to a delightful scrub.

Patong Beach is full of life — clean water, soft sand, and always something happening around. You’ll find beach activities all day and a great vibe in the evening with music and food stalls nearby. It can get a bit crowded, especially around sunset, but that’s part of the energy that makes Patong fun. Perfect spot if you like a mix of relaxation and nightlife.

I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore! If ur travelling around Phuket and need to stay on a budget this is your best option. The location is perfect if u wanting to go to the beach/shops. The staff are incredible and extremely nice and will make you welcomed! One of my favourite hotels in Thailand so far :)
