I dont get why people leave bad reviews about this place. Probably not as well travelled as they think they are. This place is great when it comes to location and service. My room is on the ground floor, has a bathtub (that I didn't use), and huge sliding doors (one of which needs to be looked at) that open onto the terrace! The view is stunning, open sea and beach!! The people running g the hotel are amazing. I've had great contact with David regarding the logistics and whatever i would need. Everyone is incredibly nice and attentive. Its walking distance to 7-11 and Lotus, and lots of bars and restaurants. 10/10 i would stay here again!

Enjoyable stay and a fantastic location, especially for places like Malibu beach. Two 7/11's close by along with array of useful shops and restaurants. Just yards from the front entrance you can get a boat to beautiful Bottle Beach. Special thanks to the manager as I injured my leg just a day before coming to stay at Viva and after going to hospital and having to use crutches she kindly moved me to a downstairs room so I did not have to negotiate any stairs which for the remainder of my stay was a a real help.

Such a beautiful bungalow in lush gardens. The team who ran the place were very friendly and extremely helpful. They helped us arrange transfer to and from the ferry and with scooter hire; they couldn’t have been better. Lovely, tranquil location minutes from the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning – you won’t want to leave! This cozy little gem truly lives up to its name – Love Nest is the perfect escape for anyone seeking peace, beauty, and comfort. The views are breathtaking, and the silence surrounding the space creates a sense of calm that’s hard to find these days. Every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of – from the stocked coffee, water, and condiments to the little extras that made our stay feel special. The host even let us borrow her speaker, which was such a kind and personal touch. It’s clear a lot of love went into creating this space. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat. We already can’t wait to come back!

Had amazing time here, feel like real Thai experience. Every morning see monks walk past, and beautiful temple at end of road. Neighborhood very friendly and welcoming. Even see monkeys in trees nearby! Property very big, and host Peter very kind, give best advice for places to go.

    The beach is unfortubately far from what is depicted in fotos. The beach itself (water, sand) is fine, but the terrible view once inside the water as you look into half constructed building & similar, kill any joy. The water is calm and see-through, but no charm at all to be there. -- Very few pption to do in walking distance.

    Nice peaceful and quite village in the north of Koh Phangan...

    Nice peaceful and quite village in the north of Koh Phangan with an intact local community. Two Seven Elevens and some local supermarkets as well as a drug store, diving centers and several nice restaurants are located in Chaloklum. Taxi boat services to the beaches of Haad Kkom, Bottle beach or Thong Nai Pan are offered at the pier or near Viva Pizzeria.

The little swimming pool with the view on Chaloklum bay is the cherry on the cake. In addition, we need to mention Foods and Roots, your restaurant in Chaloklum, which is just awesome!

    The personal were really nice. Apartment was clean and bright. There was everything you might need it the room, fully equipped kitchen. Nice complement from the hotel as some fruits and beverages on check-in.
